Oh man, I used to watch WWF a lot as a kid.

WWF used to rock. I tuned out when the Undertaker turned into some fat ginger biker dude. I mean, WTF was that all about?!

I used to love the Undertaker. Everytime he fought someone they would die. As a kid who believed that Pro Wrestling was real, I thought that was awesome.

Andy

The spectacle of the Undertaker was one of the best things about the old WWF. The way he entered in a coffin, oh, and Paul Bearer! The little fat moustachio'd legend he is.

The killer chokeslam he used to do on people as well was awesome, when he bashed them through the ring.

Oh, and when he used to get up from being "knocked out" by sitting bolt upright.

Classic.

yeah the best gimmick ever :D

but the best superstar is still BATISTA

I know way too much about wrestling. Seriously, it's pathetic.

I don't care much for the Undertaker. He reminds too much of Hulk Hogan in that he's all style and little substance. Yeah, he has a cool entrance, but sitting through a half hour of sloooooooooooooooow attacks bores me....

Andy

The slow, lumbering sinister approach was the mainstay of the Undertakers appeal though wasn't it. He was kind of like the anti-Hulkster I guess.

JohnnyNemesis
02-08-2006, 12:08 PM
Yeah, it was the mainstay of his appeal, but after 15 years of the same match over and over again, it's time to evolve.

Johnny, you don't seem to realize. He killed his opponents!

Andy

What was the story behind him becoming that biker dude anyway?

And presumably, Paul Bearer ate the bodies.

Hahaha, that dude was entertainment. And bahaha, it was all back when Hulk used to fight. Oh man.

one question: did the undertaker ever got "rollin" as the entrance song?Because on wrestlemania 19 limp bizkit played this song when he drove with his bike to the ring.

Johnny, you don't seem to realize. He killed his opponents!

I love you.

What was the story behind him becoming that biker dude anyway?

There was no story...he just went on hiatus and when he came back he was a biker dude. It was more true to his real life personality, which was the kind of gimmick that was really popular at the time (Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, and even the Big Show were quite popular at the time, and all credited being closer to their real life personalities).

Yeah, that was his theme song for about a year or so. Then the license ran out. He also used Kid Rock's "American Bad Ass" for awhile. Then they made new biker music for him (that "You're Gonna Pay!" song).

I used to watch it a lot. When I stopped watching, my favorite wrestler was Ray Mysterio Jr. I just love watching the agility. Strength is overrated.

Sting was always one of my favorites. I also used to love Chris Benoit and Rey Mysterio Jr. Then they went through the whole thing with Mysterio getting unmasked and I didn't like him anymore. The Outsiders weren't bad. I actually got Scott Hall's autograph back when he was still Razor Ramone. Shawn Michaels was pretty awesome back in the day too. Then he disappeared and came back and was annoying. I remember he was in one giant battle royale thing a long time ago and you had to go over the ropes and hit the ground to lose. They knocked him over the ropes and he grabbed the top one and was just dangling there like 2" above the ground with his back to the inside of the ring and he managed to pull himself back up and over the top rope just with his arms. I remember thinking "wow, even though this is staged, that was fucking impressive". I used to LOVE the Ultimate Warrior. I was so disappointed when he came back for a match against Hogan, lost, and was never heard from again.

WWE is the biggest pile of dogshit to ever be shown on TV. And thats saying something when there are shows like Baywatch around.

TNA tends to go for nothing but mindless spotfests, rather than building actual stories through ringwork. Thumbs down, go die.

Wasn't it created by like...Jeff Jarrett or something? And the whole thing is focused around him? It sucks by default if it has him.

i think tna is better than wwe because they "use" al their staff, for example since wwf that we dont see an exciting match betwen the superstars, kind of TLC's when they beat them till the end, now WWE is sparring their roster, when at the tna the wrestlers give all that they've got. my WWE favourite superstar is The Rabid Wolverine Chris Benoit! mt favourite TNA superstar is AJ Styles!
