It turns out that 3 of the memebers in The Fire Theft were previously in Sunny Day Real Estate. With a new guitar player, I guess. If you already knew this, call me stupid. If you're stupid, you would actually take the time to call me stupid.

Sunny Day Real Estate were prone to breaking up and getting back together on an almost daily basis. After one of their breakups, their drummer and bass player left to join the Foo Fighters. The drummer ended up going back because Dave Grohl would record his own drum parts over-top the other guy's but the bassist stayed with the Foo Fighters. The last SDRE album was only done with three members, and the Fire Theft album was also done with 3 members (all of whom were original members of SDRE). SDRE>>>>>>The Fire Theft by a lot though oddly enough.

Jeremy Enigk has a new solo album out. Yay.

I enjoyed the Frog Queen thoroughly.
There's a song I downloaded by Enigk called 'Asleep Under Last Week's News' in limewire, it's live. I was kinda hoping it would be in the new album album since the song is infinitely awesome.
I don't know if it can top the Return of the Frog Queen, this new album.

actually, they had a unofficial bass player that played in concerts and on the last 2 albums, at least I'm pretty sure.

I'm sure they had someone play bass in concerts but Jeremy ended up playing it on the last album along with vocals/guitar/piano/etc. They still had a bassist on How It Feels to be Something On...unless by "last 2" you were including the Fire Theft. I forget the line-up to that album but I think they had an actual bass player then.

Anyways, for you guys that haven't heard them, they, along with ATDI, pretty much brought the emo scene back to life in the 90s (though they tend to be much softer and prettier than ATDI were). They started off very indie/punk-ish and got more and more prog rock-ish, dropping nearly all their punk influence by the time their 3rd album came out. They're a very good band to listen to during the winter.

Oh yeah, good choice for a song from Diary. From The Rising Tide I really like Rain Song.

I actually like Television a lot except for the fact that the lyrics are embarassingly bad.
