What do you think are the best vocals in an Offspring song. Personally, I think Gone away and Never gonna Find Me have pretty damn good vocals.

I think throughout Splinter his vocals were very good and proberbly at their best. I like his vocals on the Meaning of Life and All I Want, they set the mood very well.

this song is maybe the only song that displays such variety in his voice, in my opinion that is :) it's a very nice song to appreciate

Gone Away has amazing vocals. Especially with the little "screaming solo" as one member had put it in which right now I cannot remember their name.

I think Ixnay on the Hombre contained Dexter's peak singing performance. I love it all, especially the old stuff, but personally I think 97' was his actual best.

I was listening to Self Esteem today and I realized something. Dexter's voice in it makes me totally want to go gay for him. Seriously. Nobody else could have done that song so well.

So it sounds good to be gay with Dexter and it's perfect for the mood and lyrics of the song? I didn't know the alternate meaning of Self Esteem was a gay fest.

Hard to say. Vocals in many songs are so great. But one song pops in to my mind, the song that many have said: "Gone Away".

I don't see how you guys are saying one song has better vocals than another, with the exception of Pay the Man, which is only really different because of computerized vocal effects.

Dexter is a traditional punk vocalist. Not good in an objective sense, but it fits the music. He can't do anything special or tricky with his vocals, he's just mediocore. All of his vocals sound basically the same, the only difference is you can hear him getting older as the albums progress.

The only punk vocalist that I would call special at all is Joe Strummer, and that's just because I've never heard a singer in punk rock have that kind of range and strength in their voice.
