I know. But I've seen other pictures where it looked just orthodox and not as much as Eastern Euro :P

Eastern than your countries! But western than Japen for example. Moscow is ortodox? I don't think it's so. Sim, where did you get that photoes from?
Maybe you think so because you saw there Kremlins' towers?

the_GoDdEsS
02-24-2006, 08:45 AM
Maybe I used the wrong word for it. There's a special type of architecture, I think. And while we're talking about it, Moscow is not orthodox?

Heh, yes, I enjoyed it very much.

I like that you like it.

Maybe I used the wrong word for it. There's a special type of architecture, I think. And while we're talking about it, Moscow is not orthodox?
But what you name ortodox?

Per, do you really want me to tell you what is it AKM?

the_GoDdEsS

My prevalent idea of Moscow is this:

http://www.puzzlehouse.com/images/webpage/moscow_1500.jpg

and this
http://map.rin.ru/images/magic/moscow-1021978093.jpg

and this
http://www.moscow-media.ru/info/hr1.jpg

It must be the old parts. So it was super cute to see something that resembles the commie parts of Bratislava. Felt like home. I knew Moscow has it but I never saw pictures of it.

I know who AKM is, I know people who are members. I want to know if it is a big group.

Rocky-girl
02-24-2006, 11:59 AM
I think I get you wrong but read my answer and say what I missed. As you know your 1pic is Sobor Vasilia Blajennogo, but usially they take a pic of it from the other side. The 2 is Lenin Museum you can see it behind Sobor from 1 one and the next is Hram Of Christ the Saviour. The buildings from 1 and 3 pics were build long time ago but were rebuilding. The building from 2 is build in 20 century.

Not at all near 300-400. But I think they are rather strong. But the real strength it has I think 2 years ago. Where from do you know them?

the_GoDdEsS
02-24-2006, 12:02 PM
Thanks. I mean, it's very Eastern and typically Russian in that it is kinda red, colourfull and has those strange kinda shaped towers. But I like that.

I know them from the internet.

No, not all Russia is red. Old tower really have very strange shape, but not all are red just look on the towers of Nijnii Novgorod, they are white or Churches in Vladimir.

the_GoDdEsS
02-24-2006, 12:07 PM
It's mainly the shape. Like, if I didn't know you're Russian I'd know right away you are because of your avatar picture.

No, I met them on a discussion forum about Socialism and the Former Soviet Union.

Simona, in my avatar there is Sobor Vasilia Blajennogo! But not all building are so old there are many styles of architecture in Moscow.
Per, very interesting, and what do you think about them?

Rocky-girl

Really don't know what to answer. Partly, Vladik.

Of course! Cities have different types of architecture. That's just my stereotype idea about what Moscow looks like.

I just find it weird how you would embrace communism if you weren't even an Oktyabrionok.

I don't know enough about them and what they do. The members of AKM said it was good. But that is no surprise.

Vlad, is she old enough to have been?

HornyPope

Eh, I took some of those with my digicam a while back. The originals remain with mom so I can't re-scan em now. But i'm pretty sure I have more pictures from the september 1st line up (the first hour of school day we would assemble in a row to the sounds of trumpets in our pretty uniforms) and then from the Octeberyonok ceremony. I'll tell you if I get them later.

And here's another one. Lolz look at our pimping uniforms.

I'll see what I can do, Perchek.

Here's another one meanwhile. Lolz me photowhoring. Still gotta love the good Soviet kids we were; disciplined and polite and good etc...

Commies make me laugh.

Yum, I just had coffee.

We took the exact same picture in our first year of school, sitting at the desk over the ABC book. I had the largest grin and chubby baby cheeks. Too bad I never made it to have a pioneer uniform. I missed it by exactly a year.

HornyPope
02-25-2006, 01:14 AM
Don't show it to Nenad and Marko. :(

Izie
02-25-2006, 01:16 AM
I don't know how much I missed it by, but I'm sure as hell glad I did.

I've always hated school pictures anyway.

^Too funny not to. Speaking of which, Nend is coming over today...

HornyPope
02-25-2006, 01:19 AM
Oh yeah, oh yeah? Well remember when I said I won't hurt you when we gonna have buttsecks? I L-I-E-D.

And anyways, the Soviet school system was pretty awesome on a number of counts. For the elementary classes at least.

Izie
02-25-2006, 01:28 AM
Tsk tsk, you commies are so full of empty threats.

Rocky-girl
02-25-2006, 07:57 AM
I really like that you like that pics. Yes, Vlad is right I wasn't oktyabryonok, I was born after 7 years it was gone. But thought I like my country's commie history and really I proud of it. I think most of all in your answers I like that
"Perchek". As you can see the pronounse of this word in Russian means Paprika:) Than to Perchek, I was a member AKM, not a senior and I tried not to get in all that troubles because I don't love politics too much, rather interesting, nothing more. And now for Simona(my beautiful second mom?) when I go for a walk in Moscow next time I'll try to make not ortodox pics, maybe it'll be Old Moscow have you heard about it?

the_GoDdEsS
02-25-2006, 08:08 AM
That'd be lovely. I'm sure Moscow is beautiful in winter. I realised what this oktyabryonok is or at least I think so. I was one too when I was 6-8. But it had a different name here.

Izie
02-25-2006, 08:30 AM
Moscow is totally gorgeous and I wish I were older at the point when my dad worked there, I could have seen it :(

And note: we collectively laughed at the pics (Nenad, Anja and I)

Tanichka, can you tell me about AKM? How is it different from other groups? Is it mostly young people? Is it connected to other parties?

Rocky-girl
02-25-2006, 12:34 PM
Dear Mamushka, right? I try do photoes for you soon, Izie if you ever come here I'll be glad to walk with you in city and tell about it if you'll want to certainly. And Perchek, may I call you so?, AKM is a group of yuong peoples(16-25, ever 30) their idea is to return Communizm. They are very radical and strong, their main slogan is "Our native country is USSR" and it's true 'cause they all were born in USSR. Then they organiezed many meetings and go showes in Moscow. Biggest part of it were devoted to economical problems, sometimes social. I think tomorrow I'll go on their site and will able to tell you more, if you want to.

wheelchairman
02-25-2006, 12:49 PM
Yes you may call me Percheck. What may I call you?

And that sounds interesting. If you can tell me a little that would be nice. Are they connected to NazBols?

No, NazBols it's in real Nazics. But yes they connect, they fight with them! I forgot to say what does mean AKM.Do you know? Today I think I'll go on there site and will be able to tell you more. Site is on russian but you can go and see photoes there. Shall I give you an adress?

Rocky-girl

AKM is :
1. Advance-guard of Red(Commie) youth.
2. Submachine gun made by Kalashnikov (modernize)
I'm not sure that I translate your post right.

What do you think of the KPRF? Perhaps what do you think of other red parties?

Rocky-girl
02-27-2006, 03:54 AM
I don't like KPRF althought they are red, but only, they do nothing in real. Else, I don't know, they all have simething interesting in their politics, but mainly they are the same.
