My favorite letter is "Jojan needs to stop living".

My second favorite? "R", with "K", "Z", "X", and the way I write my capital "L" following up.

ampersands are awesome for many other reasons. =p like, the fact that they say "et" and few people know that. and they're so prettyyyyy.

My favorite letter ever, actually, to follow Per, was the one my lady sent me on Valentine's Day. I had just got out of my Shakespeare class, so she decided to use archaic language to invite me over. The "stacks" she's talking about is the library I work at:

My sinful muse of concupiscence, would that your large hands and
smooth face accompany me in this night of malevelent corporate
machinations for profitting off the dallies of our hearts and
privates. If you share the desire to venture to New Paltz with me
after your captivity in the stacks terminates, I would willingly drive
you hither. If you do not share this desire, know that I would share
your company this evening in another capicity, should the twinklings
of your cerebral design so shine. In the soul of my body, I do not
wish to cross the river alone, and so without your company, I will be
powerkingdom stayed, and thusly free for other games.

Seriously, she's fucking adorable, even though you folks won't get half of those references.

Any comparisons to Maria will result in an intense shanking by yours truly, so watch your fingertips.

Am I the only one who read the title of this thread, the first post, and decided to reply with "My favorite letter is the big O"?

I admit, I was just reading that orgasmgiver88 thread... but still.

And - the big O.

Anal fixation? That's obsessive neurosis. Pretty common among men, actually. And Big O is the orgasm? Jeez, thank god i don't ever have sex in english.

You mean you can't buy that in English?

Preocupado
03-07-2006, 11:55 AM
Buy as in "understand", or as in paying for sex with prostitutes?

wheelchairman
03-07-2006, 12:00 PM
As in sex for prostitutes. A light-hearted tease. Although it's not exactly something I would approve of.

I don't have a favourite. I don't want the other 25 letters to get jealous.

I do, however, have a favourite symbol which is "@". Reason being there is no word for it in the English language.

Over here we call it either "at" or "monkeytail" (translated of course, or more accurate: "little monkeytail")

Sinister

Tijs, if you mean the thing that sticks out in the monkey's lower back, it's spelled "tail". If that's not what you meant, .

Oh yeah, it may mean "at" in the same way that the ampersand means "and". However, there is no official name

Jesse Q, I think you just started sounding badass.

And if I'm wrong and have your name mixed up with someone else's, it doesn't matter - keep the name. It's badass.

The at sign. Myth busted?

If not, then you can't call % the percent sign or $ the dollar sign, as the names and functions are related analogously.

I once saw a list of names it has in different languages (in my studybooks actually), I don't remember most of them though, but some country calls it a snail. And there are more that call it monkeytail.
