I just remembered I have Dirty Dancing on DVD. a friend bought it for me for my twenty first birthday with face masks. something to do while letting the mask dry? dunno, I don't get the connection, but it was sweet. =)

I also have a DVD of Pilates, but it's actually my mom's & I don't think exercises really count.

DVD's I've seen that I'd love to have in my collection:
(doing this for myself, so I will remember which movies I'd like to have)

la Vita e Bella.
Amelie.
Evita.
Girl, Interrupted.
Ten Things I Hate About You. (even though it's cheesy & I've seen it tons of times)
Simon. (Dutch movie)
Turks Fruit. ([Dutch] sentiment, can't help it)
Phileine zegt Sorry.
Oesters van Nam Kee. (Amsterdam pride ;p just kidding)
De Tweeling.
Fight Club. (I need to see it again)

movies I haven't seen & would love to have:
normally this never occurs, because I never know if a movie is nice to have at home, before I've seen it. there are exceptions to every rule, though. especially Dutch exceptions. there's something about the atmosphere & humour in Dutch movies I completely adore.

Eline Vere. (still need to see it)
Verborgen Gebreken. (I know the book & like it, as one out of few people)
De Grot. (hated the book, even copied the bookreport because I didn't finish it, but they say the movie's good)
De Passievrucht.
Memento. (I have the feeling I'd like it & for more than once)
Amadeus.
Magnolia.

& just blah, whatever.

I've got a collection similar to that of Tijs, except about 70% of what I own are professional wrestling, professional wrestling documentaries, and old kung fu flicks, while about 10% are TV on DVD, 5% are old cartoon collections, and the other 15% are actually movies.

That's not even counting my burned DVDs.

Yeah, I have more Bollywood films than Hollywood films.. Shut up, I have justification for this.
1) The dvd's are often cheaper. I can order 2 BW dvd's from AMERICA and still pay the same money I'd pay for a Hollywood film in Finland.
2) I tend to watch BW films again and again but Hollywood films I usually don't form that kind of an attachment with. If I wouldn't watch a film not twice but closer to a million times, I don't buy it on it DVD.

I don't spend money on DVDs because my brother does that for me so I just buy what he doesn't want to buy. Like;

Curb Your Enthusiasm - first and second season
Just Shoot Me - first season
Audrey Hepburn DVD collection - Breakfast At Tiffany's, Sabrina, Roman Holiday
Funny Face
Being John Malkovich
Two Weeks Notice
Serendipity

I know, most of them suck. My taste in movies generally suck.

I just remember having seen it twice. k, so I've seen it more than once. but I never felt the urge to watch it OVER two times. & dammit, now I want to see that 'Together'-movie too.

*Edit; just wondering, but how do you people get your hands on as many DVD's as you have? seriously.. I've NEVER bought a DVD, because it's simply either dinner, or DVD. I *have* to rent every single one of those bitches & that's fine, because most of the times I don't feel like ever watching it again, BUT.. I want a DVD-collection like that. do you people download them? (if so, what program do you use?) burn them? how?!
