Actually that is a pretty reasonable list. I'm surprised London Calling made it so high and I think Dark Side of the Moon and Back In Black should have been higher. Rolling Stone magazine almost never puts newer music on their lists. If they do, it isn't that high on it.

I was surprised that R.E.M.'s Murmur was so low on the list, as it was their album of the year the year it was released.

I'm glad that bands like Television got recognized on it, but yeah, for the most part the list sucks.

my "best" album is "what's going on" by marvin gaye and after that jimi hendrix' "are you expierienced"

I didn't like that list, even though I musy admit I was pleasantly surprised to see Los Lobos and Buena Vista Social Club on there. One thing i was wondering is why Radiohead has 3 albums on there and RHCP and RATM each only have 2. hmmmmm.........

That was a big long list of Phail.

Well, RATM only have 3 albums, so I think having 2 on the list is pretty good.

And I think Paranoid should have been in the top 20 or 30 somewhere. Being 130th is just unacceptable, especially with Nevermind at 17th and Appetite For Destruction at 61st.

Yeah, and Abbey Road was way better than Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (even though I am a huge fan of both).

Those are some of my fav albums!
They deserve to be higher on the list. Especially Nevermind!

You seriously think Nevermind deserves 17th when Paranoid is so far down?

RATM have four albums; granted one is only covers.

You don't think I knew that? I've been a huge RATM fan for years. I just didn't mention Renegades because a cover album would really have no place on that list.

I could never make a list like that. I would put too many of my 'favorites' in there. However, if you gave me time, I could make a list like that of my favorite 500 albums.

Pink Floyd < Sex Pistols?

I stopped reading there. I also don't like the Beatles, so that whole list seemed off.

They have a live album aswell Rage Against the Machine - Live at the Olympic Auditorium.

bah, I was expecting at least one Mahavishnu album. Mahavishnu was one of the most influential fusion bands.

Mega Phail. They must be phailitarians. Y'know, because of all the phail.

Phaggoty Phailurs of Phailitarian Phlangetarians, in fact.

I mean, Alice Cooper wasn't even up there. And no metal bands, no White Snike, Maiden, Priest, etc.

If phail was Sunkist, that would be the greatest list ever.

Of course, then it would have no phail at all.

Paradox much?

Of course in reality it's just a bit below Fanta Orange. (I had Sunkist for the first time in a while today, and how the hell did I ever like Fanta Orange?)

I may have missed it, but I didn't see Foo Fighters on the list. I'm not just saying that 'cause I'm a big fan, it's just suprising to see TCATS not in a list like this, it's always mentioned somewhere. =\ Meh, I generally disagree with these kind of lists anyway.

These lists are completely personal so all those kind of lists are pointless. Also, critics are generally complete faggoted failures

why isent american idiot on that list!?!?!?
and why is dookie so low on that list!?!?!? :mad:American Idiot shouldn't have made it, or possibly if it did it should have been at the bottom of the list. Simply because the list is for the top albums of all time, not for a phase that people are going through.

Dookie should have definately been higher but at 193 (I think that was the position??) they certainly did better than The Offspring, Blink 182 or Sum 41, which puts them at the top of their category of music.

AI hadn't come out yet, and Dookie is incredibly overrated, and this is coming from a Green Day fan. I'd say that it's probably their worst album.

And where's Gorillaz and Offspring

It's on there because the list isn't strictly rock, and critics tend to like Eminem. The Offspring isn't on there because critics don't really like them all that much. And Gorillaz. Well, I'm going to let you think about that one.

this is coming from a greenday hater but shenanigans broke the line-dookie is just noise played in a way that copied other bands feebly
