Got the link from a friend's AIM profile and fell in love. Basically they collect whatever random things they find lying around and put it up on the website. Love letters, post-it notes, homework, to-do lists, break-up notes, pieces of poetry. Some of them are really cute or funny:
That second one was found in a high school.
And others are kinda sad:
Has the description: This book was found next to a dumpster at Ohio University. I can't remember the date, but I probably found it near the spring of 2000. It belonged to an old woman who had presumably passed away recently. Other personal items, including a handwritten joke book, a funeral register, and a sheet of paper that listed all her medical conditions were nearby. This book is several decades old. The cover says "Birthdays" and is re-bound with tape. Other than birthdays, she recorded facts from her life, when each of her friends died, anniversaries, the circumstances of her pet's death, surgeries, etc. I found this page, where she notes her husband's burial particularly heartbreaking, as she retraced her own words repeatedly.

Anyways, the site's really neat and you should check it out. http://www.foundmagazine.com/

I've been into FOUND for a while now, and have come across some interesting things. I'll try to dig into my archives sometime and contribute.

that is awesome. and it is going to distract me from studying. yay!

the first one (i want to buy you a lot of pretty things and shyly offer them to you one at a time) reminded me SO much of Ricky. Just seems like something he'd say/do.

Actually, that's the exact kind of thing I would do/want to do/have done.

Hahahaaaa! Found on a men's bathroom at Wendy's apparently.

And yeah, that one reminded me of Rick too.

This website qualifies as genius in my books.

Especially with letters like this one, from who appears to be the Perfect Woman:

I don't know whether it's the tiredness, but I almost LMAO'd at this one,

FOUND by Mark Hallman in Guelph, Ontario, Canada

This scrap of paper was found on the floor of the lobby outside 'The Stampede Ranch.? Puzzled by what this note meant, it all became clear later that evening during the "Miss Stampede Ranch" competition. The question for which this answer was written was, "Why do cowboys wear belt buckles?"

Needless to say, the dame who lost this cue card did not reign victorious.

Yes, I live in a city that is full of cowboys. And in all of my four years here, I have still not gone two steppin' at The Ranch with cute cowboys.
