So I uploaded a song to my ftp. www.action-online.org/VolgaBoatman.wma

This song however, when you click the link, is not prompted to download. But tries to play right there off the webspace, does anyone know how I can make it to a download?

And action-online.org is a political writing group I started for socialists. So I can imagine that only Dave would be interested in it. So don't bother looking around.

Having read the introduction, I'm very interested. I'll possibly join sometime soon.

And I can't help you with the song thing. Sorry.

That's alright. I essentially started it off of soviet-empire because people weren't being used, it seemed like untapped energy.

Just right-click on the link and Save Target As - that should work.

^Yeah.

BTW, when I click the link on Firefox, I'm asked if I want to download it on my harddrive. I guess it depends on the configuration of your internet browser or your media player.

I think you need a script to ask it/make it/tell people to only download it from a link. I've never bothered to figure it out though. Or just tell people to right click and save as or ctrl+click and download for mac users.

it has to do with browser settings and mimetypes.
