Seriously, the grestest cover ever ever ever. So good it deserves its own topic.

I'm going to give you the original first:

Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence (http://www.savefile.com/files/5419755)

Then, the greatest cover song EVER:

Failure - Enjoy The Silence (cover) (http://www.savefile.com/files/1911442)

Absolutely amazing.

(I also have six different covers of the same song if you're interested in more comparisons. Some are pretty interesting)

Depeche Mode is like, the music I put on when I have a humongous erection at an inappropriate time and I can't seem to make it go down on its own. Otherwise, they're useless.

No Use For a Name, Tori Amos, H.I.M., and a few more. The NUFAN one is quite good:

Guns 'n' Roses did quite a few good cover songs, Knockin' on heavens door is a great one (by Bob Dylan, as everyone should know)
Velvet Revolver did amazing covers of The Sex Pistols song "Bodies" and the Pink Floyd song "Money"

No it wasn't.

Their cover of Under My Thumb, however, was excellent.

Sonata Arctica has a realy good version of Metalica's Fade to Black, it's much better that the original... Also i prefer Offspring version of Wanan be Sedated than Ramones' original one...

the Byrd's cover of Dylan's "Mr. Tamborine Man". It's not as good as the original, but it's really damn close.

the Lemondhead's "Mrs. Robinson" is a good cover.

the Pixies version of "Wild Honey Pie" by the Beatles is incredible aswell.

Primus covered a few Residents songs, and I like their versions more. Hello Skinny and Contantinople are both on Frizzle Fry as a bonus track, and they're a hell of a lot more listenable than the originals. The Residents are so fucked up.

Blood fucking oath, particularly the version on "Live at the Roxy".

Metallica's covers of Misfits songs always blow them out of hot water. In fact, just about every song on Garage Inc. pwns, though for most of them I haven't heard the originals.

I'm bumping this to share another cover version of Enjoy The Silence that I forgot to include.

You all MUST LISTEN TO THIS as it will BLOW YOUR FIZZKNUCKING MIND AND I MEAN IT SERIOUSLY.

The first part of the following mp3 is a cover of Enjoy the Silence, while it transitions into other Depeche covers.

Nullsleep - Enjoy the Silence (cover) (http://http.se.scene.org/pub/demos/scene.org/music/groups/8bitpeoples/8bp029-01-04-nullsleep-depeche_mode_megamix.mp3)
