Just realized I never replied here. Radio Protector was fucking awesome, and the other songs were great for the most part too. Downloading the new one now.
Awesome. Haha, I get to see them again on Thursday, live they're even better.
Because I'm so awesome I'm replying to myself.
They played a new track last night and I recorded it:
New Song (http://www.hippieburner.com/65/New%20Song.mp3)
No idea what it's called.
Updating the links in the first post as well.
Because I'm so awesome I'm bumping this.
BBC Maida Vale Session (www.hippieburner.com/65/Maida%20Vale.zip)
John Peel Session (www.hippieburner.com/65/Peel%20Session%20(11-18-04).zip)

Lars, I like your taste in music.
I've only heard Retreat so far.

Seriously, you have great taste in music. I can't get enough of these guys.
By the way, do you listen to Saxon Shore? They're like a less heavy and more ambient version of 65daysofstatic.
Marked with Knowledge (http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=C45F0BD01C2FB5B2)
MySpace Page (http://www.myspace.com/saxonshore)
and is 65daysofstatic purposely written together as one word?
Yeah, its one word as far as I'm aware, though people do seperate the words as well. I <3 them much, and was all sad that I wouldn't see them again this year but found out they're playing at an all dayer I was going to go to anyway, hopefully they'll play another new song, or two, or how many ever if they do have that many.
Never heard of Saxon Shore before, listening now. Not bad.
I like posting in my topics.
I saw/filmed them at above mentioned all dayer. They played 3 new songs which are sounding fucking great. I might put a video up for one of them when I get the time.
They brought visuals with them to this show.
Radio Protector on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pb30gTTH-3w) from this show.
The pictures/polaroids you can see on the visuals are actually from polaroids they took and stuck on to a bunch of 7"s they released of the song.

Only just started to listen to the songs posted and they're all amazing.

Did you record the whole concert? If so, upload more. Kthx
I did, that was the only song I'd put on my computer so far. I'm behind with way too many mini dv tapes at the moment. I'll get to them at some point.
New album end of April:
The Destruction of Small Ideas
1. When We Were Younger & Better
2. A Failsafe
3. Don't Go Down to Sorrow
4. Wax Futures
5. These Things You Can't Unlearn
7. Music is Music as Devices are Kisses is Everything
8. The Distant & Mechanised Glow of Eastern European Dance Parties
9. Little Victories
11. White Peak/Dark Peak
12. The Conspiracy of Seeds
A shitty webstream rip of the radio edit for Don't Go Down to Sorrow here (http://www.hippieburner.com/65dontgodown.mp3)
Youtube video I did of another new song (damn, why's it have to be so hard to figure out which one it is when it's instrumental) here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-2YbgWKF4c)

I like it, interesting sounds, kick ass drums. It's unusual that I like something without a frontman.
So there was a radio session they did while at SXSW, you can download it here (http://www.hippieburner.com/65/WOXY_Session.zip) if you want. 4 new songs off the album.
Those that may be impatient and frequent demonoid could find some new album lurking on there.

I will check these out later.

I've only listened to "Retreat! Retreat!" so far, and I really, really like it. It reminds me in some ways of a The Music without vocals. Mmm, it's good.

Wow, those guys sound like a bunch of douche bags. Seriously, they pretty much alienated everyone in the US by calling them bunch of posers. Really tru punx.
but other than that, the music was awesome.
Howso? Surely sxsw isn't really an entire representation of the entire country?

It sounded like he was refering about America in general. I mean why would he go straight to money and power when asked a question about the festival? It certainly didn't sound like he was talking about a festival.

This thread has had perfect timing. I've been on a big post-rock kick lately, and I've completely forgotten to check them out. Good work!
