I was looking around in the forums a while ago when I came upon a post that said that 'Race Against Myself' would sound better faster. So I increased the song speed to it to about 1.3 on Windows Media Player, and wow it does. Go try it out. :D

How the hell are they gonna be able to upload that? The idea is to speed it up yourself with Windows Media.

I think it's something only you can do on your program unless when you get the file it comes with that information therefore not having to change it.

Saving time by using (or downloading first) a program that allows you to rip songs, then using (or again, downloading first) decent audio editing software, then loading the song file and increasing the speed, Mr. smart ass.

Actually, with Windows Media Player 10, a cple of clicks on the speed specifier will get you any song 1.3x.

meh, I don't like it fast. it ruins a lot of the really cool sounds in the song. everyone here seems to like everything the offspring does faster... like dirty magic. some songs are better slows. such as race against myself.

For Race Against Myself on Windows Media Player, uncheck "snap slider to common speeds" and set it to 1.025, and turn the volume way up. AMAZING.

1.2 sounds kinda cool too, haha, but I think the producer of Splinter should have done it the first way though.

Side note: Anyone notice that Race Against Myself isn't as loud as the track before it "Hit That"?

Just seems like they made this song so "tame" sounding, as I said in my review.

I think I only have version 9.0. But on my version, "Snap slider to common speeds" is directly above the speed bar, so if you can't find it, it must not be there, or it's called something else now.

where's the speed bar? see, I just went to the top of the program and clicked "play" and then "play speed" and set it to fast.

In my version, there is a little white box in the upper left hand corner with three lines and an arrow pointing down that I clicked on. Then, I clicked "Enhancements", then "Play Speed Settings".

figured it out, my wmp was way out of date. got the new one and it works.

why would you only listen to a song in a way the band didn't intend for it to be?

i dunno how you people have been coping with the old windows media player. 10 is awesome, apart from when you're in the library, and a song changes, it doesnt follow, so you have to search through to find the song that is playing. (i've described that badly, but hey! :p )

BTW, if anyone has Bad Religion - Victims of the revolution, play it at 1.4. Awesome.

naaa!!, winamp is horrendous! WMP is easily the best i have tried out.

EDIT: fucking spyware is playing up again.

the black and orange interface is ugly. it looks untidy and unorganised. and as far as i know it isnt very good with syncronising with emovable devices such as mp3 players.

black and orange interface?? what version?? mine is shades of blue... I love the interface.

http://www.winamp.com/images/overview/winshade.gif

small, sleek... what makes it not good with syncing with removable devices?

offspring freak, you must have done something wrong... I change my skins all the time and never lose anything. Why would you save all your music in winamp, anyway? Why wouldn't you just save it to your hard drive?

nood!es- open winamp, and click on the bottom of the playlist editor where it says "add", then on that window, click "add files". It'll open a window for you to put any files on your playlist.

That's a great thing about winamp- you can add files from different folders; on wmp, you open a few files, and then if you go to add more, it opens them and removes the ones you had.

i did saved it in my hard drive, im not that stupid to save my musics on winamp, but it has a folder like to change the skins, not the normal ones, so whn i clicked in that shit it deleted my files. oh well never mind it was a long time ago
