I know The Offspring covered AFI on this, but do AFI feature in the song? because the part 'this day never seems to, this day never, this day never seems to, this rage i cannot let GOO', it does sound like Noodles or Dexter, so i am wondering if its an AFI person. anyone know for sure?

I would say it is Dexter, with his voice messed around with a bit.

The whoa-oh part seems like Dexter with other person doing, but the "this day never seems (..)" part is obviously Dexter.

Dexter, Noodles, Chris, Greg... it could be any of them. You can do a shit load of things to a voice in the studio.

I find it easier to believe that it's Dexter doing that part of Totalimmortal than the falsetto in When You're in Prison. ;)

It could be Jim Carrey, he said he likes The Offspring and he's the main actor of the movie...
nah... forget it...

Wasn't Davey credited as backing vocals on Americana? I remember that there was some rumour of him working on Pay the Man...

I don't know about Pay The Man, but I can distinctly hear him doing the backing "whoas" in Feelings.

on the AFI album "black sails in sunset" there's a song or two where I swear I hear dexter doing the backups. I've always wondered if it's him... is he in the album credits or anything?

He did backing vocals on several Black Sails songs, actually. Malleus Maleficarum, Clove Smoke Catharsis, The Prayer Position, and Weathered Tome are the songs he's most audible in. I know he's in more, but not as significant as those songs mentioned. In MM and PP, he does some of the "GO!!"s, Weathered Tome he does the background, "AGAIIN!!" and Clove Smoke he does some backing "whoa"s and singing.

Yeah, I know he was in God Called In Sick Today. He did the "whoa"s, but the way they were sung it could have easily been Davey or Jade too. It didn't really have that distinctive Dexter sound as the other songs had.

Now I wonder if it's really him.
