I woke up at 7:30, then said "CRAP ON DEES" and slept till 11. It was pretty swell, and having Fridays off is a luxury I shall cherish.

It all depends on when you go to bed.

i know people who wake up at 5... but they're in bed by 9 pm. OH WHAT A HARDSHIP. =p they get far more sleep than i do.

i can't function on less than 6 hours of sleep unless i'm heavily caffeinated or otherwise drugged up. >_>

When I was a student I used to sleep too much, about 10 hours a day (nothing interesting to do in the mornings 'cause I got my classes in the afternoon...) But now I'm working, if I sleep more than 7-8 hours I feel almost the same as if I hadn't slept more than 2 hours... It's... I loved to pass hours and hours in bed since I first opened my eyes...

I can't fall asleep before midnight. And I can't go to bed at 9 because that is when I just arrive hoooome. Hooray for 3-5 hours a day of sleep.

My sister used to say that she couldn't face a new day with less than 10-11 hours of sleeping. Thank god now she is normal... =S

I need a ton of sleep these days, for some odd reason. I slept maybe 7 or 8 hours last night, and I feel pretty damn tired.

Pretty much depends. On some days 12-13. On some days just 6-8. It'll change to 10-14 every day permanently in May though. Hahaha.

14 hours working??? Wow, what are you doing? (If you don't mind telling...) Here the only ones that work that much are people that work at pubs or discos, and maybe the people who work... How is it called? Freelance? Because the more you work the more you get paid...

But most people would give it up if they have to work more than 10 hours...

Well, I never work less than 9-10 hours by the way... Some days I work lot more, but I work in a bar... =(

Full-time English and German language instructor/teacher. From morning till night.

Sunny

whoa.

do you get paid extra for overtime? i mean, isn't the standard work day 8 or 9 hours?

belen1979
04-21-2006, 09:01 AM
Are you freelance or work in a academy or something like that? Here academies open about 4 hours in the morning and 4-5 in the afternoon.

You work too much... And you have to deal with people, as I do, and that's even worse, sometimes you get as tired as if you were carring big stones... At least I do...

Nope. The rate for overtimes/Saturdays/public holidays is the same as normal times, although according to the law it should be 100% higher. But we have different company regulations. The standard work day is 8 hours.

Working with intelligent adult people is very relaxing. Children however aren't. That's what's the only exhausting part about it.

Yups, private. Public schools pay ridiculously small amounts of money.

I haven't been sleeping enough for months. :( The only thing I can do is dreaming about sleeping which is enough to make me more sleepy. But I promised myself for sleeping 14 hours a day for a week after the exam.
Of course without all those nightmares. They make me more tired and I can't feel good after having one.

By the way someone's new avatar is so sexy and totally rocks.

There is nothing better than sleep.

Some nights I don't sleep at all, but then the next night I sleep non-stop for 8 hours.

The greatest luxury is indeed sleep. I usually sleep for 6-7 hours during school days and sometimes less, rarely more. I'm always tired. On weekend when no one wake me up (phone calls, grrr) I can sleep much much more and wake up very late.
