This is the 3rd time i get sick in this year. I think my defenses are very low.
I don't want to take a lot of medicine, i prefer natural stuff.

Do you know something good for the cold, sorethroat, and/or get my defenses up?

Try not to drink orange juice, because the acid will only make your sore throat worse. Apple juice has plenty of Vitamin C and is nowhere near as acidic, so that would be a good choice.

Other than that, rest works, and works well, along with those nice relaxing showers.

I've been sick about four times since November. I sometimes get it in winter. And there's extremely shitty cold/wet air in the area I moved to. I prefer real frost instead. But oh well.

Actually what helps me when I start feeling sick is gargling with some super strong alcohol and drinking plenty of sour lemon juice. If I don't kill it right away, it gets worse.

I've wrote what I do when I become ill in thread "fever". I drink a lot of water, try to be in warm place, and drink more tea.

Milk, starch and sugar if you want. It's the best thing for your throat.

boy, have I been misinformed if that's true. My mom has told me to gargle lemon juice with salt to help with soar throats. I've found that it actually helped quite a bit.

it's actually blue-green algae. it's full of protein, vitamins and all kinds of good stuff. it gives you energy and makes you less vulnerable to infections.

Warm salt water definitely helps with your average sore throat.

Actually, it's only partially true. I gargle lemon juice with salt water as well, and it never helps, but it seems to work for some.

A steady intake of orange juice does damage in the long run though, 'cause of all that darned acid.

And I've always been told to drink orange juice for the vitamins. I never do, because it feels awful, but gah.

Apple juice has those same vitamins, and goes down much smoother.

I will be SURE to remember that. Apple juice is superior to orange juice (sorry Jesse) in almost every way.

Emer'gen-C tastes like fucking hell. I downed like a million of those a day for the past few months. I can't stand that shit, but it seems to work quite well indeed.
