Who is your favourite American president? I've only bothered to put down the great ones, so don't cry if some obscure guy you didn't plan on voting for anyway isn't there.

Great President or The Greatest President... Now there's a tough choice. He's just so good, that Bush Jr!

all the presidents listed above are... how to say it without saying "fascists"... erm... well, Bush Jr. is more "stupid" and Bush Sr. is more "the father of the stupid"

I've to choose one of them, I choose Nixon [yeah...]

And for me the best USA president i know... Clinton!!

Clinton in terms of ability, or Roosevelt. In terms of pure humour, Reagan.

I liked that one president. He wasn't black... he wasn't a woman... and I don't think he was a Mexican either... You know who I'm talking about, though?

What about George Washington, surely he is kind of great, he secured liberty for the American people and formed the decleration of inderpendance, what have any of those guys done, as far as i'm aware he set up the actual presidency system, i'm not crying i'm just wondering how you worked out George W. was greater than George Washington was when Bush may well have sent Americana into the most pointless war since Vietnam.

I'm not American but I think George Washington could be great if he didn't "forget" about one thing. When they were forming the decleration of independance, they didn't include there independance for black - they were still prisoners and weren't able to have a normal live.

from wikipedia,

Presentism is a mode of historical analysis in which present-day ideas and perspectives are anachronistically introduced into depictions or interpretations of the past. Most modern historians seek to avoid presentism in their work because they believe it creates a distorted understanding of their subject matter.

Humorously enough, Nixon was the least harmful (domestically of course, internationally was another story) of all of them yet he was the only one forced out of office.

James Polk wasn't so forgotten. He led the US through the Mexican War and expanded the nation quite a bit under his presidency.

I've never heard of Andrew Jackson believing the world was flat, but he was definitely quite the motherfucker. I don't think we should honor any president who signed the Indian Removal Act on the $20 bill.

I'm not American either but at the time black equality was unknowen and the powerful were probably under the impression that blacks were being saved from their own kind and shit like that, the only people who knew the truth were the people who worked the slave ships, and wanted to keep their jobs. So i don't really think you can blame Washington personally for that

Better yet, it was his inauguration speech. Fucker deserved it too, after claiming to grow up in a log cabin to seem rustic and riding into the White House on the success of a thirty-year-old victory against Indians. Then the Whigs got stuck with Tyler. Ha!

Lincoln is widely known as one of the ugliest US Presidents. Once, when an opponent accused him of being two-faced, he replied "If I had two faces, do you think I would use this one?"

And my nominee for forgotten President is Franklin Pierce.
