If I remember correctly, you're a fan of the holographic principle and information entropy. I decided to write a paper on it and was wondering if there are knowledgable authors on the subject who I should look into. So far I've been searching for publications by Susskind and t' Hooft.

on the holographic principle, i guess those two guys.

to get into the real meat of the interconnections between information theory and physics, one of the leaders is Chris Adami at CalTech. he's got a very, very nice survey paper in arxiv.org entitled "the physics of information" i think. one of the key systems, though, is the Szilard Engine. Feynmen's lectures on computation (probably in your library) covers this stuff pretty well, but not in much depth. you might also want to check out Frieden's been doing with Fisher information too, though it's not quite the same thing.

a lot of the best stuff is via Maxwell's Demon. papers on that could be helpful. also, the book Maxwell's Demon 2: Entropy, Classical and Quantum Information, Computing, edited by Harvey Leff, is very good.

Thank you very much sir. I'll look into that.

I have no idea what any of that means, but the public display of geekiness just gave me a raaaaging boner.

Oh, good, you too? I didn't want to be the only one, because that would be awkward...

oh snap, does anyone want me to go into detail about it? it's the physics/science stuff that i'm *really* interested in.

Oh baby DO IT while I tug on my boner.

this is so not putting me in the mood.

What's wrong, baby? Don't be jealous. Very few people have a 25 ft boner like mine. Yours is nice, I'm sure.

It's not the size of the boner that's as important as the surface area, you'll find.

AMIRITE!?!?!

incorrect! it is the boner's equation of motion that make all the difference!

R_boner(t) superior!

I assure you that the surface area as well as the volume of my boner are ample.

boner volume = huge ^3

that is all well and good, but can you move it in harmonic motion?

bring over that bottle of astroglide and I'll prove it.

=/ i thought it was one of the girth > length remarks

Nah. It took me a while to figure out you meant motion of the ocean because I thought you were one-upping my physics.

1565's boner vs. Izie's boner. That...THAT I wanna see.

This thread would be so hot if it wasn't about physics.

My heart totally warmed at the sight of this thread, though. Endy/sKratch 4eva, man.

Maybe it would be hot without physics, but with physics it's elegant.

Don't get them too hot. That simple harmonic motion won't be so simple before long.
