Well, my last picks (http://www.offspring.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23165) were quite successful and even led me to uploading about 4 or 5 more songs by request in that very same thread! Rather than try to just introduce you to new stuff, the stuff that I'VE been listening to, I decided to shoot for songs that are more your style this week. So, enjoy!

First off, at the request of Tijs and many others, some old school AFI! These are from Very Proud of Ya:

AFI - Perfect Fit (http://www.savefile.com/files/8215217)
AFI - Advances in Modern Technology (http://www.savefile.com/files/8801592)

I heard this song on 1565's radio show a little over a month ago and I've been listening to it almost nonstop since. Love that lady's voice, and the song is just catchy as hell. Be warned: it WILL be in your head all day.

Damone - What We Came Here For (http://www.savefile.com/files/3464131)

Pulley seems to be extremely popular 'round here these days, so I thought I would share what I feel are their two greatest songs. This is pop-punk done right; catchy, insightful lyrics, amazing riffs, etc. These are from their self-titled 1999 album.

Pulley - Gone (http://www.savefile.com/files/2348976)
Pulley - Second Best (http://www.savefile.com/files/7635709)

Speaking of Pulley, here's my favorite song from Ten Foot Pole! (Pulley's singer used to sing for Ten Foot Pole). I recently made a list of my all time favorite songs, and this one came in at number 6. When dealing with someone who listens to as much music as I do, that's a MAJOR accomplishment.

Ten Foot Pole - My Wall (http://www.savefile.com/files/2841826)

Anyone who likes Radiohead even the slightest bit knows this next song already, because it's such a masterpiece. Even if you don't like them, please give this song a shot because it's so fucking good.

Radiohead - Idioteque (http://www.savefile.com/files/6235482)

Finally, another phenomenal band: The Faint. I've uploaded some of their stuff before, and you may have heard some of their more popular shit already, so I'm gonna share a random goodie you may not have heard. The second track from Blank Wave Arcade, released in 1999 if I'm, not mistaken:

The Faint - Call, Call (http://www.savefile.com/files/9128087)

Damn, now THAT is a lot of FREE music! I hope you all enjoy, and please people, discuss!

Take care!

Are they all from your iTunes Rick? Cause that ain't compatible with anything but itunes. (the AAC/m4u audio programming.)

They're all from iTunes, but not all of 'em are AAC/mp4, but some of em are. Aw fuck, now I need to make sure these work...

EDIT: Actually, the Damone song is the only one that's in AAC format; the rest are in MP3. The MP3s should be fine...are they?

after listening I must say. I really liked Pulley they were good. Very good. And I also liked The Faint, very reminiscient of Dr. Doctor. Ten Foot Pole sounded like Post Rock.

And I hate Radio Head. Oh so much. :(

Glad you folks like this shit so far. Per, I hate most of their shit, but they have some amazing songs. Give Idioteque a chance! Also: Radiohead > Radiohead fans.

My friend once copied a Pulley album for me, I liked it, I haven't listened to it for ages though, so I don't really remember. Maybe I should again?

I'll download when I'm back on my PC because I keep downloading things here and never listen to them.

holy shit, the files finally work & I love E-VE-RY-THING, except Ten Foot Pole. maybe that just needs a second chance & a different mood. Pulley won't become my favorite, but they *are* mighty catchy & it's just generally the genre that gets in the way. STILL these songs by them will definitely end up in my playlist. *likes*

Isa Isa : I'm glad you like these so much! It's good to return to pop-punk every now and then :)

I just realized I never replied here. Pulley is some good stuff; already knew that, but no harm in enforcing it. And I have Perfect Fit already, it's actually one of my favorite songs at the moment.

No problem, AAE. Pulley is indeed wonderful. I went about three years without listening to any of my usual skatepunk and poppunk for any extended period of time (just passing phases), but you guys have brought be back to my roots with your requests lately!

I was downloading What We Came For Here For and wasn't waiting something good since Ricardo seems like hating everything I like. But now, I'm simply loving it. It happens for the first time!

I'd like to once again state how awesome I am for seeing Damone live (even though I only caught like the last 2-3 songs of their set). Thanks for the AFI, my Very Proud of Ya cd has a missing chunk in it thanks to my brother's inability to take care of my cd carrier. I'm in mid-download of all the missing tracks, even though I should've redownloaded them all a few months ago when I found the piece of the disc missing.

I just now got around to listening to the Damone, and holy god. At first it reminded me of Garbage, but it's actually better than a lot of Garbage.

Yeah, it's an amazing song. I bet it reminded of you of "Wicked Ways", right?

All About Eve

Oh definitely, which is one of the reasons it's better than some other Garbage songs.
