Yes, I used teh search button. Lots of pennywise threads, but I need people to answer my question.

I want to get into pennywise, I've heard bits and pieces, and I like it.

But where do I start? What album should I buy?

Help would be greatly appreciated.

I only have 3 of their albums, Land of the Free?, Pennywise, and Unknown Road, but they are all pretty good.

Their best album has to be About Time...I would suggest getting that one

From the Ashes, and the Fuse are decent albums.

My personal favorite is Unknown Road, but About Time is the best starter CD, I think.

Get From the Ashes.

I'm gonna... third... "About Time" because I always remember hearing that was THE album. And it is indeed pretty good.

i'd recommend An Albatross - Blessphemy (of the Peace-Beast Feastgiver and the Bear-Warp Kumite).

"From The Ashes" is a steaming pile of shit. Try "About Time" and "Straight Ahead" first, then move on to their self-titled album and "Full Circle".

I'll upload a song or two in the future if you want.

"Straight Ahead" might be one of the best skatepunk albums I've ever heard, but it never gets the credit it deserves. It's outstanding.

And here I am, only owning Unkown Road. I don't think I've listened to that more than once or twice, actually.

True, if it weren't for Something to Change.

Completely agreed. It's their most underrated album.

Most of you guys are nuts. Straight Ahead and Full Circle are the best Pennywise albums.

To me, each song on these albums seems to stand out more then on other Pennywise albums, where it just feels like you're listening to a bunch of really similar songs.

does the lead singer of pennywise has a lisp, or is that just me mishearing?

It's just his singing style. He talks normal on the dvd that comes with From the Ashes.

Nah, Something to Change is average. "Waiting" and "Change My Mind" are the standouts on that album.

Start with "From the ashes". Rape it as soon as possible and then "Straight ahead".

Seconded! Also, Holiday in the Sun and Salvation are superb.

Actually, Salvation is the song I hate most and one of the reasons I can't stand that album. But a few others are excellent.

Today I was listening to Pennywise, (Waiting to be exact) and this kid comes up and asks to listen to it. He listens for 5 seconds and says, "Good Charlotte sucks dude."

What a dumb shit.

Kill him. Please fucking destroy him.

Don't make me beg.

EDIT: But don't make a "I got into a fight about Pennywise!" thread afterwards or anything like that...

Like already said, Straight Ahead (omgz, rhymez) is probably the best. Full Circle is pretty good, but aside from those 2, I think most Pennywise albums are painfully boring.

well, anyways thanks guys! I will definently get Straight Ahead when I've got the chance. I heard a clip of something from Land Of The Free? and it was pretty good.

Agreed full-on. Straight Ahead and Full Circle are my two favorites of theirs. The only thing that makes straight ahead better than full circle is cause all the songs on full circle about Jason's death, which gets a little old to me. I'd definitely get those two first.
