Wow, that's one strict school. I probably would've only gotten points off of the test.

I do that shit all the time. In English we had to write articles on counterfeiting. I took my friends articles, made some hilarious "typos" and then handed it in as a poor counterfeit.

I got a b.

I have a maths test tomorrow and I might do that my maths teacher will probably just laugh at it and knock the points off.

I liked that.

There's an urban legend in serbian highschools that once, on a serbian essay entitled "what is courage?" a student wrote "THIS" over the whole page. Always amused me.

I already knew that. However, I found extremely interesting the part of that site in which a discussion between a few posters is generated around the Pithagorean Theorem and Wikipedia searching.

Yeah, the funniest part is that they actually discuss the problem itself, and even solve it.

Haha, a Polish girl told me about this one.

Orange, shoutwire?

Why, of course. It's my "Shoutwire article of the day", but I won't actually be calling it that.

We're supposed to do current event articles each week, for my government class. Some of them we find on our own, others he gives us. On one he gave us, someone copied the articel exactly and turned it in. Got a 75 for lacking creativity. On one we were supposed to find on our own, a kid found an article online, and turned in cooking instructions spanning a page and a half, and got an 80 for not writing a full two pages.

My mom sent that to me from work awhile ago, saying it was a "blonde trying to do a math test"

ooh, good old Pythagorean Theorem. I hate triangles so.

the 3-4-5 pythagorean triple shows up all the time... and i only looked at the first few comments, but they were wrong. the answer is 5cm -- units are important.

We have the same story in Denmark. Except the story says the question is

"What is laziness?" and the author goes "This is laziness" and hands that in.

It kinda reminds me of a part from Animaniacs.

Teacher: Spell "procrastination".
Wakko: I'll tell you tomorrow.

Similar urban legend:
Philosophy paper where the question is "Why?"
Kid writes "Why not?" and gets an A.

ditto for a philosophy class where they were asked to write an essay about how the chair the prof was sitting in didn't exist. one guy writes "what chair?", turns it in, and walks out.

filling up to 10 chars. on some browsers it doesn't show anything so it would be a rather unobtrusive way to pad the post without using lame black font.
