Fun fun fun

Wow, that's slightly awesome.

Now, if they could just do that to World of Warcraft...

I wish I still had my starcraft games. Anyone know a good place to buy cheap used games? Besides Ebay?

Torrentspy.com is a good place to look.

I could never figure out how to work computer game torrents though.

Well, then, I'd search Google for a good used games site.

Meh, I'm downloading one anyways, and I'll just mess around with that for a bit. I think the last one I tried wasn't a working file anyways.

Did you ever forward your ports?

You could buy used games in amazon

No I didn't, they work fine anyways.

First reaction - Whoa, that's awesome.
Second reaction - Wait... it looks just like Starcraft... and I already own Starcraft.

And AAE - I think Starcraft retails for ten bucks at Best Buy.

I think the idea's cool, but a bit pointless this way.

Mota - nearest one is half an hour, but if I can't get a working torrent I'll check that out.

Yep, it's pretty much the exact same thing as the classic Brood War, only in 3D and running on the WarCraft III engine. But for those who already own WarCraft III is a good call, since it's a legit 100% free download.

ps: 3D zergs look disgusting

However, in order to get the thing working, it looks like you're going to have to have the disc for Starcraft, Broodwar, Warcraft III and the Warcraft expansion.

Ouch! They're trying to play fair with Blizzard by keeping all those original cd's as required to play, but that way they'll end up being inconsiderate to StarCraft fans which aren't necessarialy WarCraft fans. The need for the Frozen Throne cd is just a hassle!

And, either way, Blizzard could just let Project Revolution do it for the StarCraft fans already. It's not like StarCraft 2 will be ready in, say, the next four years - enough time to have fun and get over the mod. Independent mods never kill the official game, they just extend it's life.

Ain't gonna happen. The last two times Blizzard contracted a game out to another developer (Warcraft Adventures and Starcraft:Ghost), it killed 'em late into production, as they didn't live up to Blizzard's standards.

Seriously. I fucking hate World of Warcraft. I'm never gonna play it, it's sucked up two of my friends and, by focusing almost all their energy on that, Blizzard hasn't been making any other games. Annoying as fuck.

One of the biggest appeals of Starcraft to me is that is the fact that it's old school and not all fancy. It'd probably actually run on my comp!

I agree. I don't generally agree, I fully agree 100%.

I hate WoW for that aswell.

But one thing is that the Project Revolution crew have been working for about four years now, so they must be serious about releasing it. If Blizzard fucks up the release with legal issues, we can still expect a "leak" of the mod to the internet. So, one way or another, it's ON!

Put me down for some of that too.
