I put too much flour in the thickener and now it tastes like flour. I've added more stock and more milk, and made it thin as hell, and it still tastes like flour.

What can I do to fix this?

Use the kind in the can. Less complications, and less work.

I managed to salvage it, actually.

That's the answer to a lot of problems...

Did you use corn-flour for the soup? Not that it matters now anyway :)

No, I'm a drunken idiot and used regular flour cause I couldn't find corn-flour till it was too late. It tastes semi-okay now anyway. You just have to drink more.

One of the things I like most about Justin is that he cooks and seems to have great taste in food. So no, don't tell him to use the canned shit.

I like the thick soups. Sounds like this one turned out pretty bad though, but fuck it, you'll get used to that weird consistency in the soup.

That would explain it :P

However, corn-flour itself can also be problematic. Thats why i've given up on making stocks and soups - stew is so much easier.

I like making Irish stew with those Occo Bucco cuts from cow shinbones. Yum.
