Maybe, but that's a LOT for me. When I say lately I mean today, that's right, I'm not talking about life y'know? There haven't been so many polls in the short term I've been part of this. Plus I had an old screen name A long time ago.

You can buy a thanksgiving pack of them that are turkey flavored, stuffing flavored, pumpkin flavored... etc. It's so sick. And I know people who have bought them. I've never been so daring/stupid as to taste them, though.

Otherwise, it's pretty good soda. It's a little less fizzy than general soda, and they do have a lot of flavors. It's pricey, though.

noooooooo! They're so different. I like cherry coke more. Plus, they made a cherry dr pepper.

from wiki: "Unlike Coca-Cola and Pepsi, Dr Pepper is not marketed as a cola. Dr Pepper's flavor is allegedly derived from a mixture of soda fountain flavors popular when the drink was first devised. A partial list of these flavors can be seen at the bottling plant in Dublin, Texas, although the formula itself (with its twenty-three ingredients) is a closely guarded secret."

I really didnt know that! We dont have Dr Pepper in Germany anymore so I guess I forgot the taste of it. It used to be one of my favorite drinks. wow.

They dont sell Cherry Coke either. And I've never heard of a Cherry Dr Pepper. My world just collapsed :(

What a horrible world you live in. :( Cherry Coke is damn good. I don't really like normal cola... but cherry cola is glorious. dr pepper is super good, too.

In my kitchen, I currently have Mello Yello, Mountain Dew Code Red (best kind of MD!), and Pibb Xtra (which is Dr Pepper, only coca cola's version of it. Dr Pepper is better than Pibb Xtra, though).

EDIT: wcm, why then would they have made a Cherry Dr Pepper, then?

Never heard of these except Mountain Dew. I think they sell it here at Tiffany's. But Tiffany's is not very common over here.

They made a cherry vanilla dr. pepper.

Mr Pibb's is nice.
But Europe doesn't have the variety of soft drinks the states does. I would blame it very largely on much stricter import regulations regarding chemicals. Denmark does have Dr. Pepper though.

Mello Yello is just coca cola's version of Mountain Dew... but not as good. Pepsi products always own coke products, IMO.

You're probably a hell of a lot healthier for not having soda. I wish I could ban myself from drinking it... but it's so cheap and easy at most places/ in most situations.

ohhhh I just figured it out. There are two versions of Dr Pepper. The one that was issued in the UK/europe has a different taste, very similar to Coca-Cola Cherry and is manufactured with sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. The kind we have in the US is different, and that's why we were disagreeing on that.

I've been to the coca cola place (I'm sure AAE has been there plenty)... it's pretty sweet. They let you walk around and taste coke products from around the world. More soda than you could ever imagine!!!

Ah that explains that. We used to drink Dr. Pepper when watching Hercules. (we were so poor, my dad would literally share a can with me and my two siblings.) Didn't taste anything at all like what we had here.

I just thought my taste buds changed. People here aren't that much healthier though. We just don't have the home stocks of cola like most Americans. While we might have 1 liters of cola in the French. Most Americans seem to have a large collection of cans constantly stocked.

I would prefer that, but we don't have the space. Right now we leave it on the balcony and that keeps it cool enough.

I'm not a huge soda drinker. I buy the packs of 12 cans when they're on sale, and it lasts me forever. I bought two of those packs at the beginning of september... 24 cans at first... I still have atleast 12 left. I like to have it on hand at home, but most of the time I drink soda is at restaurants. It's always the cheapest option (especially when the only water choice is bottled water).

I know people here who drink soda like it's going out of style. I know this one girl who bought a 12 pack of soda on a trip to Tenessee, and she "had to" buy another 12 pack 2 or 3 days later because she had already gone through all 12 cans. That's just sick.

EDIT: nina, I'd be mad at you for beating me, but then per would be all gross again ;)

Umm you can't buy soda by one liter here. A can (12 oz... about a third of a liter) is usually around 65 cents. I bottle (20 oz... about 3/5 of a liter) is a dollar... and a two liter bottle is usually around $1.19. It depends on where you buy it, though.

Also, is your change actually called euro-cents? I've always wondered that.

Because if the Americans allowed Germans into their stores, the stores would be under the jurisdiction of German marketing law and well have the things would become illegal due to pending EU legislation, and the other half would be more expensive because of the VAT.

Dr Pepper's flavor is allegedly derived from a mixture of soda fountain flavors popular when the drink was first devised. A partial list of these flavors can be seen at the bottling plant in Dublin, Texas, although the formula itself (with its twenty-three ingredients) is a closely guarded secret.

Well, it does make sense, seeing as the guy who made the first drinking fountain patented it as The Bubbler... then other people started making knock offs of it and calling them The Gusher and crap like that. Calling it a Bubbler is like saying you use Kleenex or Band-aids. And the water technically does "bubble" as it cascades back down into the sink. They're brands of a product, and were the first ones invented. Also, a water fountain is a huge ol' thing that shoots water high into the sky for looks.
