We all knew it was gonna happen, and finally our dreams/nightmares have been realized.

I was gonna bump an old Futurama thread, but...ugh...you don't want to see them.

I'm slightly worried though. Futurama's initial run was perfect, but look what happened to Family Guy now that it's back. It completely sucks ass now, and I sure as hell hope the same thing doesn't happen to Futurama.

That's because Family Guy had to be "censored" or some crap like that.

Also, I don't think Futurama's ever gonna run out of ideas any time soon.

What do you mean by "sucks ass NOW?" It was never very good, the jokes almost always miss, and the gigantic fan base of annoying kids my age constantly quoting it makes it even LESS watchable. I can't stand that show. They could never ruin Futurama.

Even if it's thirteen thirty-minute shots of a jar of mayonaisse, it'll still be better than the new Family Guys.

Or the old Family Guys, for that matter.

Anyone that gets that reference gets much love.

I liked it before everyone else started liking it. Then I got bored with it.

Futurama is way better anyway.

That's not it, it's just that the jokes suck and the cutaways are starting to piss me off.

According to an interview I read with Matt Groening, they have tons of stories that they never even got started on before, so I'm sure they have enough.

I dunno how to feel about this. Tbh I was sort of glad and sort of dissappointed they ended Futurama. I was sort of glad as I know they stopped it going downhill but dissappointed because there was a lot more they could've done. In general, I'm happy it's back, lets hope they don't ruin it!

This is quite possibly the greatest day in my teenage life. Yes, I am a loser. deal with it.

As for Family Guy, the humor isn't exactly intelligent, but I get quite a bit of good laughs here and there. King of the Hill still pwns all in my opinion, though.

King of the Hill has it's moments (liek zomg they played pretty fly in an episide!!!11one!), but I never really liked it that much.

King of the Hill has a very unique humor style, and some people just arn't able to get into it because subtle humor isn't hugely popular.

I think that the Simpsons seasons 1-8 are better than Futurama. Futurama is funny, but some of the jokes just kind of feel awkward and forced, so sometimes it's just kind of boring. But, the good jokes usually do outweigh the bad ones.

Yeah, I am a huge fan of subtle humor. That's why I liked Arrested Development so much. It's a shame that people rely on only fart jokes and slapstick nowadays. Then again, I am a Family Guy fan, so I better shut up.

What the hell did they have to censor on that show anyways? Bender's drinking? Cause it seems like a clean show to me the way it already is.

Damn, I hate the fcc. What are we gonna have to censor next? cartoon characters' butts? It's bad enough we have to give some cartoon characters sex changes for them to be aired in this country if they're gay.

I am so happy this show is back in production. I heard about it a few days ago, but there has been gossip of the show returning for quite a while now. It has recently over the last few months become my favourite show. I have bought all 4 seasons on DVD just over the last 2 months. Cant wait for the new episodes.

This show kicks the asses of all the new episodes of The Simpsons, and pretty much every episode ever made of Family Guy, American Dad, King Of the Hill, Dilbert, South Park and all the other tryhard animated comedies that have emerged over the years.

So long as we're pimping cartoons, more people need to watch Invader Zim. Here's the Halloween episode, for some reason split into 3 parts:

Psh, the comparison to Family Guy returning is a bad one. Family Guy was never funny. No, not even Stewie.

Seth McFarlane is a cock. Random doesn't equate to automatically funny.

Hell, even Beavis & Butthead kicks FG around, and that show was a one-trick pony, same joke over and over again. We get it, they're dumb.

Jakebert
01-26-2007, 05:08 AM
MacFarlane isn't that bad. American Dad has gotten a lot better as of recentely.

Anyway, as for Futurama coming back, almost all of the original writing staff is there, so there's a plus. Also, they had a bunch of shit planned that they wanted to do but never did because of it getting cancelled, so there's still a good deal of leftover material from the show's original run.
