It's Kurt trying to pretend that he's arty and deep. Suckpile.

I actually thought he was trying to make everyone think he sucked... and he failed at that.

I actually thought he was trying to make everyone think he sucked... and he failed at that.

No, he was trying to write an edgy, arty, non-mainstream album because he believed his own hype that he was a depressed genius.

Trust me, there's no way everyone could think Nirvana sucks. Too many 13 year olds who think they're cool and alternative will flock to them until the end of time.

I grew up with this album, so I kind of have a soft spot for it in my heart. I really dislike some of the songs on there, especially "All Apologies", but one of my faves is on there too: "Very Ape". "Scentless Apprentice" is decent, but a little annoying at times.

I agree completely. I really like the song, but it can seem repetetive. I'm still trying to figure what it is really all about. And for all the Offspring fans, Atom Willard put it on his playlist stating in his exact words, "Love this chorus". What a riveting reviewer.

Much love for "Heart Shaped Box", "All Apologies", and "Rape Me".

It's based on a book called Perfume. It's about a guy who is born without a scent and he also has an incredible sense of smell. He ends up killing people that smell good so he can make better perfume.

OR SOME BULLSHIT LIKE THAT.
