In this thread, I want you to recommend 3 bands from your country. The best would be if you posted their website and a site where it's able to download/listen to the bands music. And I don't want a lot of bands that people have already heard alot of. And no pop/hiphop/folk/emo/rnb crap.
You may also, if you have the time to spare, type your own meaning of your posted bands and bands that other people have posted.

My recommendations:
* Asta Kask - Swedish political "trallpunk" - Probobly the best swedish punk band ever!
http://www.astakask.com (Swedish and english band- and mp3-site)
* Splitter - Swedish political grindcore - A band from around here. Fast and angry as hell! I love it.
http://www.splitter.se (Swedish and english band- and mp3-site)
* Diskonto - Swedish political punk - A band a quite recently discoverd, and I enjoy them very much.

I can only think of one at the moment

Big Sausage Pizza Experience - http://www.myspace.com/bspe

Los Violadores - Argentinan punk rock band.
They seem to be very good friends with "die toten hosen", it's a commong thing for both bands to mention each other during shows.
They to claim to be the first punk rock band in Argentina.
The truth is that this is a must if you want to know about argentinian Punk Rock.

Flema - I personaly think this band sucks, it's a the worst shit you can think of. But theres a very important movement of "punks" (nah, they are just 13 y.o. drugadicts) that likes the band.

2' Minutos - Same as Flema.

Well, I'm from America, and I'm going to post some bands that are old/not very popular.

Saccharine Trust. Old punk rock from San Pedro, California. They still tour with the 2 forming members.
http://www.saccharinetrust.com/

Agent Orange. Surf punk from Orange County, California. They still tour. I got to see them, and they were great. The Offspring did a cover of their song, Bloodstains, which you can listen to on the band's myspace.

Richard Hell and the Voidoids. Punk rock/New wave from NYC. Hell started out as the bassist for Telivision and left/was kicked out. He started his own band the Voidoids. I reccomend listening to Love Comes In Spurts under the mp3 section on his website. Damn fine song.

Yes but they get old after awhile. If you knew anything about music, Rocket From The Crypt are known as one of the most underrated bands in music history. And actually, the Offspring consider RFTC to be an influence, and they love them very much. You'll hear them talk abou them in some interviews awhile back. You'll be amazed at how RFTC sound help the music scene when they first came around. See at the time rainy, sad, grunge bands from Seattle were the buzz. All of a sudden, this upbeat band from San Diego comes out and makes everyone go wow, and they were actually one of the lead bands that helped get music out of that grunge era. The Offspring followed along with the grunge era, until the scene changed, so then they changed. RFTC always stayed the same and they're one of the best underground bands to ever exsits. They were also named the best live band in the solar syste. I was at the last show and I've been to many, and they were amazing. They always have been and always will be.

Best live band....now or ever? Now there are bands I don't particulary like but are great live. And if you mean best live band ever...ehm no. Queen were.
And who cares if they have influenced the Offspring. I will always prefer them to Rocket from the Crypt. And I know they are underrated, but they can't be compared to the Offspring.

Why because they're not main-stream like the Offspring. See you just stick to main-stream bands like the Offspring. You're 13 you haven't developed a musical scene yet. Yeah I work with John or Speedo as he is known to the rest of the world, and I have talked to him about RFTC. I have talked to music reviewers about RFTC, and alot say how much it sucks that they never got the recognition that deserved.Their final show was held in a fucking hotel, and their was so many people there that you could hardly move. You had people standing outside, just trying to at least hear them. I got to chill with them at the end of the show. It crazy seeing them for the last time. But the energy in that last show, was just as powerful as any other show. They put their heart and soul into everything. Having no money and just doin what they loved for 17 years, and they weren't in it for the money, because if they were they would've been done before they started. They have a passion that you don't see much anymore. The Offspring has a similar passion, but not as deep. You need passion to make good music. Without passion all you got is shit. And that seems to be all that is coming out these days. Heaping piles of shitty music.

No wait a second I totally agree with you in this post.....but saying that they are the best band in the world is just not right. I mean, the Offspring too, they aren't the best band in the world.I mean, RFTC are for you the best band. For someone else it's Foo Fighters, for someone else it's the vines, someone says it's afi, some the offspring, but nobody is right. There is no such thing as a best band in the world.

I was just stating my opinion and actually I know their not the best band in the "solar system." It's a joke. Everytime you say RFTC is the best at something, you say that they're the best in the solar system. Ya know Rocket:solar system, it goes together. I just don't think the Offspring is better than RFTC and that's that.If you threw the Offspring back in the underground, they couldn't survive. You throw RFTC in the main-stream, they'll survive.

Even though Im not from Finland myself, I absolutly love finish music!
So I will recommend some bands from there.
Like "Come out and smash'em up!" also did, I will recommend Sentenced and Children of Bottom. Sonata Arctica is also worth to check out! And of course Lordi, who just won the European song contest! (Or what ever that contest is called in english...) There is nothing like metal from Finland! (But of course, norwegian metal is fantastic to!)

Come out and smash'em up!
