Ok, I don't know how successful this thread is going to be, so you'll have to read the rules closely. I'm going to mention a band, and you have to write these things about that band:

-Your favorite thing about them
-Your least favorite thing about them
-Your favorite song by them

Then you have to post a different band for the next person

I'm going to start with Led Zeppelin:

My favorite thing about them-They influenced just about every hard rock band in existence
My least favorite thing about them-They broke up a long time ago
My favorite song by them-Rock And Roll

For the next person: Black Sabbath

Oddly a good thread.

Black Sabbath:
Favourite thing: Basically started metal.
Least Favourite thing: Iommi's guitar tone.

Favourite song: Very very hard to choose, but probably Symptom of the Universe or Sabbra Cadabbra.

Next person : Iron Maiden.

Dammit this thread's a failure. okay

Favorite thing: They are one of the best metal bands of the 80s.
Least Favorite Thing: They haven't released a whole lot of good music in a while. "Brave New World" is the best thing they've released since the 80s, but doesn't live up to their 80s releases
Favorite song:The Trooper

Maybe this next one will revive the thread : The Offspring

Pearl Jam

-Their awesomeness. Their willingness to branch out and experiment.
-Their inability to put out a truly great album from beginning to end. They all have at least few songs that are just 'good' or 'ok' or are downright annoying. Their last one was their most consistent in that everything was at least 'good' but I can't remember anything on it that was especially great.
-Love Boat Captain

Minus the Bear

Best thing: A truly unique sound, perfect mesh of guitars and keyboards. Their ability to rarely get repetitive or boring despite not really changing their sound or trying crappy experiments.
Worst thing: Way too many of their lyrics follow the basic theme "Girl, we're gonna get drunk off red wine on the beach at night and swim out into the sea and no one else will be around to care, because girl, it's just you and me." Also, their singer sounds kinda dull on some of their earlier stuff.
Favorite song: Probably Fine + 2 Pts.

Next band: R.E.M.

Favorite Thing: Some funny songs, some really good ones
Worst Thing: Sometimes they just try too hard. And the whole "political" thing isn't working out for them too well.
Favorite Song: It's My Job to Keep Punk Rock Elite

Best Thing - Almost every single song by them is relatable and they don't act tough which is a breath of fresh air.
Worst Thing - Hmm. I guess a few of their songs get a little old after a while.
Best Song - Myage

Next Band - Ramones

Ramones

Best Thing - I dunno. I guess that they had an influence (directly or indirectly) over a lot of bands I listen to.
Worst Thing - Every fucking song is exactly the same. Even the ones where they "branched out" and started "experimenting" still had the same fucking riff.
Best Song - They're all interchangeable.

- They keep punk fun, and are one of the few bands who didn't jump on the anti-bush moneywagon

- They're trying too hard to cash in on the fact that their drummer is Josh Freese

- It constantly changes, but currently it's My Brain Tells My Body

Rage Against The Machine

Favorite Thing - They're very talented
Least Favorite - They write songs and play exactly the way they're *suppoed* to which makes it completely uninteresting to me. They sound like robots.
Favorite Song - I don't really have one. I heard one in my brother's car that I actually kind of enjoyed cause it had a nice funky thing going on, but I didn't catch the name.
