There's luck involved a lot, but strategy is important too.

The same can be said for most board games.

I'm gonna download this soon. Risk is my favorite game.

I downloaded it, but then realised I have absolutely no idea how to play. I was just clicking blindly. I'll learn later.

Are you kidding? This will never overtake monopo1337. There's no way to replace part of the word with '1337'.

Perhaps, but Risk does have one advantage over Monopoly - it's fun. Yeah, I said it.

That is a very valid point.

You can win a monopoly game simply with: dice, buy, dice, buy, dice, buy...

That's a not-so-unique combination of ignorance and blasphemy!

My opinion on the game haven't improved, i say that since the first time i played it. But the chances of winning with that combination are still so common that i'm still impelled to say it.

You're completely wrong. There's lots of luck, yes, but you have to know when to buy and when not, how to bluff, how to convince your opponents to trade properties with you, etc.

Which reminds me. Scrabble anyone?

I was about to ask you the same =(.

You have to link to the lobby, but I'm not sure what that is.

You should go to www.isc.ro and download the private Java scrabble program and server; it's so much better!

I have to back out though, my tummy hurts...but I owe you a game. Seriously, download the program, you won't regret it (and add me to your Buddy List on it: I am DaPantz).

Psshhhh... Monopoly is almost total luck.

Risk is still a little too lucky for my liking as well, and it can get tedious.

So I guess the ultimate contenders for best game ever are chess and bridge, neither of which I'm particularly good at. But being the card fanatic I am I think I'd eventually like to learn how to play bridge properly, even though that one still involves a healthy dose of luck. My biggest problem with chess is that I always think about it WAY too much looking for that ultimate move (just like Scrabble).

Axis and Allies is where it's at!

I was about to post about how much I love Risk, because no one ever seems to know what Axis and Allies is. Now I'm posting to say how much I love you.
