Julian Beever is an English artist who's famous for his art on the pavement of England, France, Germany, USA, Australia and Belgium .. Beever gives to his drawings an amazing 3D illusion.

I saw this a while ago; he has some AMAZING ones. There are some more on his website, which I can't find right now.

they only work if you're looking at it from the right angle, though...

Just think, if you were too look at it from the wrong angle, it would look like some distorted mass o' chalk.

Yeah, I've seen pictures from the wrong angle and it's funny. You could see the leg of the woman, which was super looong because of the wrong angle.

Edit: NM, actually clicked the links and saw a few. Now that takes more talent and vision than drawing them normally.

seriously. i can't draw 3d stuff to save my life... so his work is amazing to me. i don't even get how he plans it and figures out the right angles.

in the page of the first link SkunkIt posted, in the "3D Illusion" section, there are examples of a drawing seen from the right side, AND the wrong side. (pics 4 and 5, and 16 and 17)
