Sort of like song of the week, but much less frequent. (probably meaning once). Here is Deine Lakaien. I like them a lot. You should too! I'll include the lyrics in this post as well!

Now we're going to deal with their album "Kasmodiah"

If anybody likes it I'll upload more.

Overpaid (http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=6040EF16273F0737)
Two wishes, a lifetime
A sad and real man
And hoping for money
A higher grade
The beggars are waiting
They've got enough time
Time that you are missing
But don't shout it out:

Taxi driver telling you
Nasty things you'll never do
And the thief is watching still
With that sinful tiny king
My adored beloved one
Give me kisses burning sun

Meet me later at the bar
And the devil's dancer's car
Sit down, wait and enter hell
Share the laughter, put a spell
On the ones that smile too much
And walk upstairs and touch the sky
And drink my tears and dance tonight

Betray betray betray betray
Marching down the hill
Overpaid overpaid overpaid overpaid
Will you pay the bill
Money is a friend of mine
And I will never thrill
Overpaid overpaid let me pay the bill
Influence my will

Masterpieces are for sale
Naked bodies ring the bell
Mister goodtimes knows for sure
Any splendid new encore
Enter now his secret room
Walk around and sip teardrops
Lay down by the golden side
And make love 'til morning light
Enjoy the laughter, put a spell
On the ones that talk too much
At the top climax countdown
And run downstairs
And touch the ground
And eat my sins
And dance tonight

This is one of my favorite songs
Venus Man (http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=547BD24B40752D24)
Bones and flesh
hair and skin
And the smell of a king
He touched you
and you fell
Once again like a stone
Pale blue hands
eyes like sun
Beams you up
lets you down
So you fell once again
Pretty son like a stone

Your venus man your venus man
Catch him and hold him, if you can
If you can't hold hold him drop him now
That venus man that venus man

Tried to find all these nights
Running round falling down
Met your friend and she told
That he's gone, is he gone?
Dancing round waving veils
Sad drops down from your face
And you sing and you dance
Yes you dance 'til you dream

The Game (http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=0065D1517B26CE78)
Grey eyes flicker
Cold is the weed
Worn out shoes
Air full of grief
It is you now
Stuck within
Soul is burning
No chance to win

What have you done to the game
Was it a victory, a shame
Where have you gone
Before morning dew
The game will not end
Without you

Ears of lost minds
Luke and torn
Dresses rotten
And broken stores
And the meaning
It's sold too soon
Can the blister
Substitute the moon

And the hot sun
Paints the door
Your philanthropist
Sighed once more
Wind was blowing
Air through pipes
Holes in bodies
Mortal crimes

Kasmodiah (http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=91551075238F786F)
In a cold night of a winter day
A secret smell tries to reach for you
You can't but fall for him in this night
In the blue room he will lie

He told you that he will stay
And bring all lost pearls
He will let you watch undress
And you would die for less

In your head tonight
You keep out of sight
Warning fools from outside
Now life needs no guide
Then the voice begins
It's the time of your life
Can't control your highs
And wasted are all my fights

Before i bother to download, can i enquire as to what genre they may cover, or what bands they are in any way simmilar to.

I've never heard anything similar. The genre is "dark wave." But I don't know what that means. It's a bit of synth rock I would say, the two guys are classically trained and seem to draw a lot of influence from medieval styles of music.

I'm sure my girlfriend had some dark wave once, which i seem to remember was pretty good.

I'll download them now and check them out.

i downloaded the first one, and its not the genre i was thinking of before, although there is something about this that i'm liking quite a bit, i can't quite put my finger on what it is though.

There is one thing though, the song seems to be very inconsistent lyrically. I see what you meen with the medieval influneces, but then from no where the lyrics switch to be about taxi drivers, and paying bills.

I'll download the others later.

I generally don't like interpreting songs. If I were to guess it would appear that the protagonist of the song is living a rather decadent life style, throwing his money about, while on the inside he feels like he's dying.

I thought emo was out of fashion.

You phaggot, this would be emo but he has a deep voice and no myspace. And it's not painfully obvious that it's autobiographical, nor sung in the first person.

If you like it, I'll upload more. I already have some, I just didn't want to spam my thread with too many links at one time.

I'm not sure. It sounds special and I can understand people love this stuff. But I'm not sure it works for me.
