What do you think?

I think it depends on what is happening at the time.

Don't you think what is happening at the time will depend on the plans we make today?

Haha, yeah, good point.

A agree, the sooner the better. It doesn't sound like they want us there, but they don't want us to leave either. We can't do another Korea.

But if we leave, Iraq will proabaly just go into an even bigger gith with themselves.

My opinion on this is that opinion and belief are synonyms, lololololol.

Seriously though, it's really hard to predict this one, and even harder for me to trust any "plans" the current administration may have.

You're not gonna trust an administration till there's a black president :[ :[

Fo reals, it's hard to say what we should do about the troop presence. The real deal is we should have never gone in in the first place. But now that we're there, it's not so easy to just peace out and wish them well.

Unless malt liquor and watermelon are parts of his campaign, I'm not interested.

Setting a date for a pull out is silly. Instead we should draw up a series of goals and work to enforce them by certain malleable deadlines, that would bring about the sort of situation in Iraq that would allow us to withdraw.

And anyway, it's not like we're ever going to bring all the troops home (assuming we end up achieving any sort of victory in Iraq) - we've still got thousands of troops in Germany, Japan and South Korea.
