I don't think I've ever liked pure instrumental. And I rarely like solos.

I usually don't like instrumentals.

Well, I like them, but not nearly as much as songs with vocals, so they just seem like a waste. Some of my favorites though -

Big D and the Kids Table - How It Goes
Operation Ivy - Bankshot
Sublime - Falling Idols
Manic Sewing Circle - Tuxedo Bandito

The Living End - Closing In
Scott Hamilton - Soft Lights and Sweet Music

I'd name a bunch of jazz, but Soft Lights and Sweet Music is my favorite, and I figured I'd mention the Living End's just because it's the only instrumental I think of right off the bat.

I think you're referring to "Last Ride In", which I personally found very boring. But hey, to each their own.

Ah, "Orion" by Metallica...how could I forget? Seriously one of the greatest instrumentals ever, even though the band essentially sucks big fat ass these days.

Fuck! I Totally forgot to mention that song. Rush instrumentals in general are great, I especially like Where's My Thing?.

EDIT: John5's stuff is really good too.

Something between those two. You definitely have some good moments.

hey, make a song for me! Cut out the mysterious part (in the middle of the song) with awesome drumming from "Always Time For Love" and make the new song out of it. Yeah I want 3-4 minute mysterious song with awesome drumming.
