im geting a new ibanez gio (budget line) for x-mas. The model of gio im getting is the GRG (budget version of the RG)(yay same as dexter sort of) and to anyone who has this type of gio, is it a good guitar. Oh, and is the Line 6 Spider II a good amp. Thanks

All I've got to say: Line 6 Spider II is a good amp, only if you don't want to buy a pedal, though, it is limited. You better try it and see if it's right for you.

ok then, thats a good thing, at least we know the ibanez will be good no matter what, its an ibanez

bump. i need feedback

oh and homer, i dont think ill be needing a pedal for a while; im just coming off of a starter amp. (you know those little foot high ones with only master, bass, and treble controls, and a headphone slot)

Gios are starter guitars. They aren't any better or any worst than the starter guitars offered by other companies. If this is your first electric guitar, then it's fine. If it's your second, I wouldn't bother. Save your money for something that costs at least $300.

well, this is my second guitar, but all ive got right now is like one of those no name guitars, you know what i mean? i could have gotten a strat or a tele, and now i know how stupid i was to not

Unless this guitar is already bought, I'd rethink it.

I wouldn't upgrade just because you want a guitar that looks like the one Dexter has. It'll probably be slightly better than your noname, but you probably won't notice much of a difference. GRGs don't make that great of a second guitar. It's just a waste unless you're a beginner.

This one is pretty nice though. I believe it's about 50 dollars more than the GRG. Save up.

if its not a good guitar, at least the amp is really good, i just need a pedal now

shit overall, but a standard beginner kit. I personally started on Behringer gear, and am moving towards Crate and Ibanez.
