I thought it would be fun to have a thread for really cool music videos. I'm not talking about posting videos of your favorite SONGS... the music can suck. But cool videos... well they're rare this day and age, and it'd be sweet to see some cool music videos.

My contributions:

When I started the thread, I thought about rhcp and was like "do they have any super cool vids?" but I'd never seen can't stop... it was very, very random... but I really enjoyed it. :)

Metallica - One (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftIfQNZhlzs)

Eek, I hate metallica. :( Especially their newer music. The video might've been cooler if I knew the lyrics... it seems contextual.

Fergie - Fergalicious (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PKOQtIjXZY)

I really think it's a fun video.
That being said, I dont know many videos because I dont have any music channels.

haha! fergie... she's one of those people that I HATE, yet I love. She's so awful. her lyrics, her music, her dancing, everything. But I love her songs. And that video is ridiculously goofy.

No music channels? Watch the other movies in here. :)

"Just" is just (lol!) so awesome. Probably my favorite of all-time.
--
Red Hot Chili Peppers make some of the best music videos ever.
--
Foo Fighters make some pretty good ones as well. "Learn To Fly" and "DOA" (http://youtube.com/watch?v=jT5SutrS3sU) are my favorites.
--
"Closer" by Nine Inch Nails is kind of cool and all, but it is also very creppy and very strange.
--
"Little Sister" (http://youtube.com/watch?v=d1nrEH7yKUc) by Queens of the Stone Age and "Cutt Off" (http://youtube.com/watch?v=heUl_luvSZk) by Kasabian are some random others I like. I'll post more later.

i looked up the snow vid cause I love that song and wanted to check it out. Worst ever? I've seen muuuuch worse videos. I liked the video up until a little bit into the color part. Then it got boring. the b&w section was great, and bursting into color was pretty powerful (though not very creatively done). The first part, though, was very fitting to the mood of the song.

Metallica's "One" was insired by the story "Johhny Get Your Gun," which is about a WWI soldier who lost his arms, legs, and face after stepping on a landmine. It was made into a movie, clips of which are in the video.

I'm not just saying this cause I'm on the Offspring bullboards, but The Kids Aren't Alright is one of my favourite videos of all time. I also love Amber by 311, Comin' Home by City and Colour, and Epiphany by Staind.

TKAA is a very, very good video... most of us here have seen it, though.

You should provide links to the other ones.

Nur Ein Wort is a great song. I discovered that band [Wir Sind Helden] about a year ago just listening to random bands and really liked them. Unfortunately, I haven't had any luck finding cd's from them.

Here is one of my personal favorites; Here in Your Arms by Hellogoodbye

Here is, without a doubt, one of the greatest and most controverisal videos. It aired uncensored in 2002 on MTV2's "Most Controversial Videos" countdown. The video is Pearl Jam's "Jeremy." Because of MTV's "no guns" policy, the ending was severely edited and resulted in a misinterpretation of the video's subject matter. The song and video are based on a real-life incident that happened in 1991, when a 16-year-old boy shot and killed himself in front of his entire class.

Anyhoo, enough of my explanation. This is the complete and uncensored "Jeremy."
EDIT: DAMN YOU, VIACOM!!!

I don't think I've posted this next video, but it's definitely gonna give you an idea about my age.

I'm sure you've all heard Disturbed's cover of Genesis' "Land Of Confusion." The video of the original version is a favorite of mine. I was about 5 years old when it came out, and being an impressionalbe little kindergartener in 1986 I thought it was creeepy but the puppets were so cool. I remember getting really excited when it would air.

Fast-forward to now. As a jaded, cynical twenty-something I fully understand the political overtones in both the video and the song. And if you're unfamiliar with what the political atmosphere was like in the 1980s I suggest you read up on it before viewing this little masterpiece.

But I digress. Enjoy!

yeah... if u like Fergie , there is a compilation series you should check out called "Euro Club Hits" --

it's pretty clear that dance music is coming back around the world -- just check the recent big American hip-hop and R&B hits which are clear rip-offs of the european dance style.....

here's the direct iTunes link to the "Euro Club Hits" series.....
