I went to a one-day trip to Barcelona yesterday. The beauty of the city astonished me in ways I thought werent possible. It is now in my personal top-3-cities (Stockholm and Vancouver being the other two) and I felt the need to share pictures with you all to show you how beautiful this place is. I honestly dont think you have an idea, unless you've been there.

***

Litterally my favorite place in the world, a park called Güell. The attraction of the park (and the city, actually) is described and pictured below.

On the right my boyfriend and I.

***

This is the incredible artwork by Gaudi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaudi). Unfortunately we were unable to visit his Sagrada Família.

It is part of the park. The close-up you see on the left is supposed to show how detailed all the buidings are. The view of this made my heart flip.

***

And last but definitely not least, the ocean. It is by far the most beautiful and cleanest ocean I've seen.

Can you believe these pictures were taken mid November in a place in Europe?! Be it the south of Europe, I still cant grasp it. Amazing.

Your pictures are too small. RESIZE!!! :p

I forgot you were going there. Silly me. I had wondered why you weren't online.

You look like a hobbit next to Bjorn.

Cool pics.

I want to go somewhere pretty. So fuck you.

doublepost, dude.

I deleted it after about 10 seconds.

yep, "parc guell" is so fucking awesome... usually architecture means nothing to me, but gaudi is different, he was creative in a grey period of time... only 2 of his creations are not in barcelona or near barcelona, but i'm lucky, one of those 2 is 15 mins from my city, and i've been there a hundred times...

A pity you only stayed there one day. I really loved Barcelona myself, great city, great architecture, great history, great art and great atmosphere.

Nice pics, I was there last year, in November too. It was really great, warm weather too; clear blue sky, no wind.
I must admit that I was a bit scared to walk under 'parc guell'.

Nice pictures there. I remember going there with my family when we went on our little *european tour* and we stayed two days, it was really beautiful and it is just generally a really good holiday spot, shame i was quite young and can't remember all of it:(

If you go again really make sure you visit sagrada familia, the way that thing is built is just incredible and i love the way gaudi represents nature on the columns inside. you have to have been there to know what i'm on about.

Yeah I thought that too, but I just wanted to give a short overview of the place anyway. I'll post pics in my journal that are bigger :] (and there will also be more).

I agree 100%. My mom loved it so much that she said next time we'll stay for a week. I'm really looking forward to it!

Haha I know what you mean! Still absolutely amazing though!

I went there during Christmas time. Wasn't very well planned out on my parent's behalf.

It looks fantastic in November though. Segurada Familia can be seen across town so I think you saw all the awesome things.

Did you enjoy the food?

And what Vancouver are you talking about? Because I am pretty sure you don't mean the one in Washington, but that's the only one I know. :(

Oh wait, it's probably part of that country I chose not to recognize diplomatically. :(
