What does your city look like around Christmas time?

That's really pretty, Tizz. Makes me totally wanna go to Copenhagen at Christmastime =).

There is nothing really worth taking pictures of where I live. It's a suburban town with no citycenter or anything, so there are no big displays of lights or anything =\. There might be some random houses that look nice, but that's about it.

In Lyon there's so much populace you cannot take pics of the lights, although is is indescribably beautiful, especially the plazza with Louis XIV, in Toulouse there are lights but nothing aweinspiring, in Paris it must be amazing I'll ask my friends if they can send me pics.

Your pics rock, Tizz, it gives a genuine Chrismasty spirit. Yuzza!

Nice. The small town I live in now has nothing like that. However, it is infamous for leaving Christmas lights on street lights all year long (even though they are turned off and you barely notice they are there) due to saving costs. Bleh, idiots. Where I lived before we had a Christmas tree and a few Christmas lights. It was simple but nice. And I haven't been to the capital city yet to check out the stuff there.

I visited London yesterday and took a few pics of the lights. Stamford (where i come from) doesn't have the greatest lights display so i won't bother with pics.

That looks pretty awesome, Tizz, and same goes to Bazza. I was meant to be going to London this weekend as well. Never mind.

Ipswich is my nearest town, about 10 minutes drive away, but its really nothing spectacular or even worth posting photos about unfortunately.
There's some decorative people down my road though, may post photos soon.

London looks really awesome. I was there in December once, it was great.

Sam, you are welcome to visit us next year! (And shop with me!)

Seriously though, Copenhagen looks amazing. Wish I could be there for christmas now. Don't feel one bit christmassy at the moment. :(

I can believe that, a friend of mine went and said it was awesome, and photos backed that up.
But loving the christmas Copenhagen even more.

Yeah, London was amazing. However it probably wasn't the best of ideas going on a Saturday near to Christmas. You can see how busy it was by the top picture, a nightmare!

I <3 NY too. Unfortunately, I'm from that one part that barely counts as NY. Everyone on the island is all like "wtf is up with that light coming from the northeast?"

Tizz's & 1565's pictures were incredibly nice, as were Bazza's. I'll make sure to take some pictures of Amsterdam around this time of the year. it's great here around Christmas, but the weather isn't really helping & with last years in mind.. grr, I just wish there was snow to make it even more Christmas-y & cozy & aww. it doesn't look much different than normally at night, except around Christmas it's dark all day, lights are on all day & it's all just very yay & extra superduperspecial. never mind, I should just take pictures. *shuts up*

I'm way jealous of all you Europeans. My town's pretty at Christmas. Yesterday I was walking home from work (I work on Cannery Row, it's got the biggest aquarium in the world and Steinbeck wrote about it a lot), and the Christmas lights were all fuzzy cause of the sea fog plus it was sunset so the fog was soft pink.

There is one thing does not exist on your photos. It is a snow. Usually we have a lot of snow in December, but this December is too warm. We also haven't it now. But I think this situation will be changed soon.

Belfast pretty much looks like what Bazza posted around Christmas time.
Lotta lights in our city around this time. Pity I won't see much of it this year, I'll be in Dublin, I'll let you know what thats like.

Same thing here. It's sort of worrying and strange. We always have snow since October. And now it's December and there's no snow or snowflakes.

I suppose Bratislava will do.

It's been +11 or +14 till this week. Now it dropped to around +5. I know -10 to -25 in December...

From where I am, it very well could be global warming. But no, I think Mother Nature's gone bipolar. One day it's 30*F, the next it's 70.

We don’t do much in my city; a few houses go a little over board with their Christmas stuff. But I'll go take a picture of the Denver capital building, that’s done very well.
