I guess he had alot of health problems?? Even had a stroke while on set apparently. Sad, yes. But the show...was horrible.

This really stinks, that guy was awesome and funny. I feel terrible.

Also, like mrconeman said, it's Peter Boyle, not Doyle. Peter Doyle is a voice actor for anime shows.

I never heard of him either, I immediately think of Craig Doyle (a british childrens tv presenter). But this guy seems like he was of some worth, so RIP.

I live in Quebec, and I don't have cable, and I hardly ever watch TV anyway; I do know the name of the show, but that's about it.

Personally, I hated that show, but I remember his character being the only funny one.

This man was awesome. Young Frankenstein AND the cranky old man from Everybody Loves Raymond. And to think that he was the only cast member of that show that didn't receive an emmy? Pure idiocy if you ask me.

Venom Symbiote

What, they all received Emmys except him?

I would have thought it would just be done by show. Like "Emmy for Scrubs, Emmy for Everybody Loves Raymond", etc.

Why wouldn't he have gotten one if everyone else did? (By "everyone else" I'm assuming it means Ray/Deborah/Robert/Amy/the mother)

Emmy's are handed out like Oscars, so there are categories "Best Male Actor", "Best Female Actor", etc. I'm assuming that he was passed over in the individual category.

R.I.P., old dude.

hard to think that's it's possible for someone to sit through two episodes of everybody loves raymond and not dig their eyes out with rusty spoons.

I can. I love that show.

You're also a mid-aged woman. You can sit through any sit-com at any time of day.

Note: This is not an attack. I am generalizing mid-aged American women.

Not true, at certain times it would conflict with the soaps.

Hmm, isn't that like telling a black dude not to steal your stereo, and then saying it's not an attack, just a generalization?

Isolated Fury
12-14-2006, 06:14 PM
He'd be attacking my fucking stereo. And only if he decided to follow through with his previous plan would I attack him. With a lead pipe.

Paint_It_Black
12-14-2006, 06:23 PM
No no no, I didn't actually mean one that was stealing your stereo. No, I meant, like, if you were out and managed to find one not currently engaged in illegal activity, like Wil Smith or Bill Cosby, and then told them randomly not to steal your stereo. Or really anything else of yours, the choice of stereo was rather arbitrary on my part. You see? That would probably be taken in an offensive manner, even though you were just innocently making a generalization. It would be far better to immediately just beat them with the pipe, that way you could avoid accidentally insulting them. I think this brings us to the only logical conclusion: You should beat Linda with a lead pipe.

Edit: R.I.P old dude.

Good point.

Is it still a hate crime if everyone, and I mean everyone, hates the "victim?"

Linda
12-14-2006, 07:37 PM
1. Do not generalize. I am not like most middle-aged women.
2. I cannot watch sitcoms all day, I work full-time.
3. I do not watch soaps.
4. Neither one of you are the least bit funny.

Now, this topic is a classic example proving that I don't start shit here,
and I will not continue to give the 2 of you anymore attention.

I'm not starting shit. Anything I said was obviously not remotely serious. I highly doubt Andy was attempting to start any shit either. However, this topic in no way proves anything, just so you know.

I think this proves conclusively that Linda never starts shit. Why can't you assholes just leave her alone, you fucking assholes?

Did I not specifically specify that that specific example was not intended towards Linda?
