I was just wonder who told them to get rid of kill the president, why, and what year. I was lucky enough to just happen to buy a used copy (unknowingly making the right choice) and got the extra track. That was a couple years ago but im still stoked lol.

They took it off the album in the summer of '01. I don't think anything else is known about the reasoning or timing, although there's been a lot of speculation about Dexter worrying it would cause "political tension" or some crap like that.

Was it really summer? Not that I don't believe you or anything, but that's kind of a quinky-dink, right there. You'd think they'd take it out a couple months later.

I'm not surprised that it's a coincidence. I mean, the song Conspiracy of One (a song about suicide bombing) was on an album released in November of 2000. I'm just saying, it's not the only coincidence.

I intended to say it was a coincidence they removed a "terrorist-like" song just before a major terrorist attack.

"Conspiracy of One" is still on the record, anyway.

Pretty sure that they removed it after 9/11, but I don't really remember.

I think I remember it disappearing when the BBS still had the white background. I'm pretty sure it was gone before 9/11. I might be high.

For the record, "Conspiracy Of One" isn't specifically about suicide bombing.

I wouldn't swear on it, but I think I asked Dexter about this once..I think my original question was did they just take it off the cover, or from the cd and now it's a hidden track, and I think the answer was the cd too, when I asked why because of 9/11 and he said yeah they didn't wanna offend a whole bunch of people.. I might be wrong, but this is how I remember it.

What I read said the removal of kill the president had nothing todo with offending people but i may be wrong to..

The wikipedia article said the release date was March 1989, but the official site says Jan. 1, 1990.

i can uderstand that, it wasone of the really punk things that theyve done tho kinda sux that they had to do that. Plus its so underground that album who would honestly see it. Oh well you dont want to be blammed as a terrorist, they might interrigate him with his own music psh..stupid shit.

I just noticed this...why are you advertising that you're infringing on someone else's copyright of the image? I think I've told you this before, I remember that image from the Ixnay incarnation of the website.

Kill THe President reminds me of Fuck Tha Police by NWA.

They didn't have to take if off (offspring) or anything, but after 9/11, if I just got the album, I would think something was up.

Yeah, about the 1990 thing, I remember someone on here once telling me that since they didn't remember the exact day it was released, they just put Jan 1, 1990. But I'm fairly certain their first release was 1989.
