Perfume: The Story of a Murderer

This movie looks promising. It's based on Patrick Suskind's international best seller Perfume: The Story of a Murderer. It's about this guy, although born with no sense of smell, developes a great olfatory sense and becomes master perfume maker. He then becomes obssessed with a young woman. Pretty awesome.

Iron Man

I didn't even know there was going to be a movie about this. I will see it when it comes out.
Hope it's good. Have to read more into it.

Spider-Man 3

I hope this movie will be good. It's way overhyped, but it looks pretty awesome, and i love the fact that they added more action scenes. Plus, VENOM FTW.

This movie will be garbage.

The Pursuit of Happyness

"Chris Gardner is a family man struggling to make ends meet. Despite his valiant attempts to help keep the family afloat, the mother of his five-year-old son Christopher is buckling under the constant strain of financial pressure. No longer able to cope, she reluctantly decides to leave. Chris, now a single father, continues to doggedly pursue a better-paying job using every sales skill he knows. Without a financial cushion, Chris and his son are soon evicted from their apartment and forced to sleep in shelters, bus stations, bathrooms or wherever they can find refuge for the night. Despite his troubles, Chris continues to honor his commitment as a loving and caring father, using the affection and trust his son has placed in him as an impetus to overcome the obstacles he faces."

Pretty kick-ass, if you ask me. It came out already i think. Got to see it.

Black Christmas

This movie will be horrible. They should've never remade it, due to the fact that the original was garbage too.

Children of Men

This movie sounds promising.

"Based on the book by P.D. James, the film envisages a world one generation from now that has fallen into anarchy on the heels of an infertility defect in the population. The world's youngest citizen has just died at 18, and humankind is facing the likelihood of its own extinction. Set against a backdrop of London torn apart by violence and warring nationalistic sects, pic follows disillusioned bureaucrat Theo as he becomes an unlikely champion of Earth's survival. When the planet's last remaining hope is threatened, this reluctant activist is forced to face his own demons and protect her from certain peril."

Ghost Rider

We all know what this is about. Hope it's good.

Hahah, i want to see this movie. I'm a geek, what can you expect?

I will watch all of these movies, and hopefully enjoy them. What other movies do you think are going to be good? I said 2 were going to be garbage, but i'll see them anyway.

I'm looking forward to the Iron Man movie, but I gotta wait until friggin' 2008.

And I'm giving TMNT the benefit of the doubt. I might actually see it, but most likely not. I'm definitely seeing Ghost Rider and Spider Man 3, though. Both movies look awesome.

Hell yes. When i saw the trailers in the movie theathre (SP) (and the comic book geek i am) i was blown out of my mind. I hope they're awesome.

Iron Man movie? Really? Got to find more info about it.

All I know is, Transformers looks amazing.

The Parfume has been out for many weeks here in Europe. Are you implying that this is the like the first movie that came out earlier in the EU than in the US? if so, yay?!

Perfume - I wanna read the book before anything.

Spiderman 3 - yes please!

I also have this AWFUL desire to see this (most probably) shitty romantic comedy called The Holiday over Christmas holidays or a bit after New Year. SOMEBODY STOP ME.

No romantic comedies? It's gonna be an empty, meaningless year for me.

the TMNT movie is going to be awesome!

EDIT: made a similar thread myself. http://www.offspring.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26433

Only one option, dearest. Move onto Indian cinema. :p

It has Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet & Jack Black. I know, eww Jack Black, right, but I still kinda wanna see it.

From what I've heard, the Pursuit of Happiness really sucked. It looks good, but I've heard nothing but bad things.

Venom Symbiote

TMNT = good. Transformers = bad (hot-rod flamey Optimus? What the fuck?)

Children Of Men is great. Isn't it out in the U.S. yet? I saw that flick months ago.

Iron Man should kick ass, as the first in-house Marvel movie. I don't like the casting of Downey Jr. as Stark, but meh, it seems to be on the right track. Favreau is a cool guy, who knows his stuff.

And of course, Spiderman 3 will be mega awesome in that kind of "it's not really "Spiderman" but is enjoyable anyway" manner like the first two. They should just re-name the franchise "Peter Parker". It still rocks though, even if it's not a Spidey series.

Anyone seen the trailer for "200"...or maybe its "300", i can't really remember. But it looked good.

Edit, its 300. http://300themovie.warnerbros.com/

12-21-2006, 06:18 AM
What fucking age do you live in bro? Children of men has come and gone, many many weeks ago.

Pursuit of Happyness, and Night at the Museum are the only ones I'm half-looking foward to. All the years good shit has gone by.

I get to see lots of movies, for very cheap, since I work there haha. Which isn't always a good thing, I've sat through many a crap movie...Eragon anyone? Fuck that shit. I pretty much mad more fun staring at the speakers during Casino Royale for the second time too. Since The entrance fee for staff is almost non existant, I walked out in disgust, I'm a hard cunt like that.

EDIT: Blood Diamond looks very good.

how could you forget INLAND EMPIRE (yes, the title is all caps)?

It got rated 9.5/10 in IGN... soooo.

Transformer will be kick-ass (i hope)

12-21-2006, 02:11 PM
Children of Men looks good (i got a promotional dvd rip on my computer, but have yet to watch it)

transformers should be good, despite the Michael Bay involvement,

the movie that i'm most excited for is 300, anything that Frank Miller writes is brilliant. Plus, the movie is supposed to be very loyal to the graphic novel.

12-21-2006, 02:25 PM
Yeah, 300 looks good.

12-22-2006, 07:19 AM
Children of men sounds bof.

Is that good or bad?

12-22-2006, 03:42 PM
The Pursuit of Happyness (SP?) was good. It got good reviews.

As fake as that was, the idea made me want to vomit out my eyeballs.

12-23-2006, 02:04 PM

So... you bumped this thread for that?

12-23-2006, 04:54 PM
Made me sick.....

And right before chrismas!!

12-25-2006, 05:48 PM
the simpsons one should be good when it comes out!

12-25-2006, 07:17 PM
The simpsons one just looks like a 2 hour episode. Which is not a bad thing. Fuck trying to be creative or going further with it, stick to what you know, I reckon.

12-26-2006, 07:34 AM
Rambo 4 Pearl of the Cobra/End of Peace/Holy War, Live Free or Die Hard (Die Hard 4), Indiana Jones 4, Star Trek XI. All films I can't wait to see!

12-26-2006, 08:39 AM
The Simpsons Movie is making me worry a lot now, though. The sneak peek on the season 9 DVD set is horrible, and makes it look like one of the new, bad episodes of the show.

12-26-2006, 09:18 AM
That sucks, Jake. The promos I've seen thus far have been pretty sweet.

I checked Chris Nolan's IMDb today and saw Heath Ledger plays Joker in the Batman Begins sequel. Liek omg!111
