When it comes to anything positive, I vote anything but Turok.

Goldeneye 007 = One of the best multiplayer games of all time.

And then you go outside and stand over the doorway and just wait for people to come out and lololo, headshot!

Goldeneye. Of course. Goldeneye was the best 007 game up 'till now.

I dunno, Nightfire was pretty awesome too.

But anyone who even considers that Turok might be better than Goldeneye deserves to be shot.

Oh God Turok was horrible. Oh God.

I agree. I was always amazed that they constantly made sequels to the damn thing. It was such a horrible game.

I tried playing it repeatedly, sure that I must be missing something. But no. It really was just worthless.

i acutally liked the turok games. but come on, compared to goldeneye?

What really bothered me about Turok was the controls. They made absolutely no sense at all.

I remember seeing a copy of Turok on Xbox for about 98 cents. I didn't bother buying it.

that one -- turok evolution -- was crap. i was thinking of the older ones on the n64.

Turok sucks. I still play Goldeneye. But how can you compare the games? Turok was a failure, and Goldeneye was a legend

Turok was a failure

it was fairly well received and sold well. just because you didn't like it doesn't make it a failure.

Turok 2 was by far the best of all the seris, but it still sucked ass, Goldeneye wins for me any day. Ummm...we're talking about the N64 games and not the remake(s) right.

Goldeneye had a remake?

Goldeneye was a great, but Perfect Dark was a tad-bid better

Technically yes, but it just wasn't as cool.

Goldeneye always wins when it comes to ANY ffs games.

By the time Perfect Dark came around, the first-person-shooter genre was a bit more crowded and the gameplay, while an improvement from GoldenEye, wasn't revolutionary.

GoldenEye remains possibly one of the most fun games of all time.

Um... fps?

And for real, Perfect Dark is better than Goldeneye. The only argument I've ever heard in opposition is that Goldeneye was first. So what? Perfect Dark was literally Goldeneye, but better. There's no way around it.

But it wasn't nearly as seminal. Sure, pick any middling FPS... (I am getting the correct terminology down, aren't I?) from the present and it beats Doom hand over fist, but it doesn't nearly evoke the raw fun of Doom - the excitement, fear and just newness of the whole experience. I'd probably rather play Perfect Dark than GoldenEye now, but I played GoldenEye much more and had more fun. I don't think I can even recall any of the multiplayer levels on Perfect Dark, but I bet I can still find my way around the Stacks.

Goldeneye was definately better than perfect dark i think (i havnt been on these games since i was like 7 or 8 but y'now) It just seemed to have less complecations, multiplayer on it was ace too.

It was a completely different story and idea altogether. Instead of Goldeneye being a weapon, it (he) is an agent.

Hence Goldeneye: Rogue Agent

That's why nobody ever bought it

the Stacks.

complex was the best level. hands fuckin' down.

I was a big fan of the facility. Especially the perfect dark version with laptop guns w0000000t.

I am reminded of several aspects of Perfect Dark that are massively better than Goldeneye (I loved Goldeneye but dammit PD is better):
Bots in multiplayer
Custom weapon layouts
More multiplayer options / gametypes
omgzzz blood
omg laptop gun and farsight

True. Perfect Dark didn't have the same feel and wasn't nearly as much fun to play for me. It was good but I always preferred Goldeneye. It was nice that you could throw sims into multiplayer though.

Did anyone ever beat all the levels of Goldeneye on 00-agent? I got most of them but some of them were just impossible.

I could never finish either game, but the first five levels of Goldeneye are infinitely better than the parts of Turok I could complete. Zomg. I would play Dam and Facility over and over and over for an entire day never getting tired of it.

I still break out the N64 every now and then, and i only play 3 games:

Goldeneye
Mario Kart 64
Mission Impossible

i believe i sold my Turok to some kid down the street :s

I had Turok given to me on the Xbox, but it looks so crap I've never bothered to play it. Might play it in a sec just to see why it's so crap.

Edit: Zeall, what Endy said about you in your signature isn't something to be proud of. A glass of water won't pay the bills now will it?

Trust me, when you get to the afterlife, you'll be demanding those several minutes of life back

Edit: fortunately, it already does pay the bills :)

How could you suck so bad at Goldeneye? How the hell did you ever beat Half life?

I'm playing GoldenEye on emulator on my comp keyboard for lack of a better control method and all I gotta say is I NEED A DECENT GAMEPAD SOON. Been stuck on the Train level for a whole afternoon just because of the damn floor at the end, then gave up.

But the game is still fucking awesome.

There are some websites out there that have the mp3s of the level music from goldeneye for download, but I can't remember them off hand.
