Every drop of water that passes betwixt your lips has been dinosaur piss at least 100,000 times over.

The thought has been creeping me out for quite sometime, only replace the dinosaur with cave man an that's what I pictured. Urgh, but we have to have water to survive I guess.

Hooray for the water cycle.

...Priceless, utterly priceless...

Whether you accept it or not, it does clean the water.

Tastes good anyway, and that's all that matters to me so long as it doesn't give me some sort of poisoning.

I remember like 10 years ago there was that scare in Milwaukee where you weren't supposed to consume any MKE water without boiling it first. Was hilarious. I'm from a suburb, though, and we had well water. MKE water always scared me. :(

For some reason, everyone likes bottled water. I think it tastes awful, tap water is much better, to me at least.

I like bottled water when it's really cold, but when it's warm I find it smells funny and taste so so.

Yes I remember that as well. My cousins who live in brookfield were freaking out about it.

I lived in Black River Falls at the time, so I didn't experience it.

Edit: I hate bottled water as well. It tastes funny to me, probably just because I'm just so used to tap water.

I like to drink tap water out of bottles, does that make me odd?!

Not if you put it in the freezer for a little bit.

Country water (aka well water) > bottled water > city water.

I've never had well water, I've had water out of clean running river though, thats pretty good. Bottled water is alot better then tap water in my opinion.

i doubt this.Really? Dinosaurs ruled the Earth - what? - from about 425 to 65 million years ago (I passed out of my dinosaur phase when I was about 12, so I forget). I figured they were the dominant kingdom on Earth for about 300,000,000 years, with an exceptionally large biomass (the average dinosaur was about the size of a car), and an exceptionally dominant one (birds and mammals accounted for roughly 0% of the biomass during this time, and reptiles and amphibians were getting the bejesus out-competed out of 'em) at a time when the much-larger-than-now amounts of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere allowed for a much greater amount of biomass to flourish, not to mention that there were no polar ice caps which would lock up bits of water. I figured that the planets entire water cycle passing through the bodies of these ancient giants once every 3,000 years was a conservative estimate.

On a side note, the sewage system in China is far behind that of the West, so not only can you not drink the tap water, or even use it on your toothbrush (a fact I learned about a month into my stay in Beijing), but you also cannot flush toilet paper down the toilet.

The opening scene of Kevin Costner's Waterworld MUST be discussed in this thread.

I will never watch Waterworld again purely out of fear that it may only be a fraction as awesome as it was when I saw it on the big screen.

That movie was so underrated. I adore it.

the vast majority, i'd say yes. every is really pushing the limits of statistics.

For some reason, this thread made me thirsty. This fact doesn't bother me at all, probably because i've been drinking water my whole life.

the vast majority, i'd say yes. every is really pushing the limits of statistics.I said every drop, not every molecule. On balance, the average drop would be composed of more than enough molecules to overpower those measly statistical aberrations that were across the planet from Pangea, busying themselves with being recycled Coelacanth piss.

So, xylo, what's your opinion about dinosaur piss?
