How can i turn an wma. file into an mp3 file? I don't think you can, but is it possible?

is it that hard to take initiative?

I use Easy CD-DA Extractor. It might not be the best the internet has to offer, but it sure is good enough for me. And it also allows you to rip audio CD tracks to mp3 or wavs or whatever you want.

If you have windows media center xp, its already installed there and it converts it for you. Pm me and i'll send u a program called Audio conversion Wizard
