I don't know the scientific word for the disease, but you know the disease when one is born with a penis and a vagina? This is not really a thought, but a question. Well, how come the person that cuts out "her/his" penis just to be a girl ... looks like a girl in the future? Or a guy does whatever he does to remove the vagina, he looks like a guy? Why don't the breast grow? It's a stupid question, but why do they turn out like they're the sex they picked? What if a girl's parents decide to remove her penis but then she comes out looking like a guy when she grows up? Do the doctors give them some medicine or something?

Yeah, i couldn't think of the word at the moment. I was thinking of hemorrhoid. I knew it started with herma.

Why would you be thinking hemmorrhoid if it you knew it started with herma?

At first i was thinking that, but then i knew it started with herma, and that hemorrhoid is an anal disease.

After the person chooses which sex they would like to be known as (or their parents choose for them) they are given supplements of testosterone or estrogen in order to help them grow into looking more manly/feminine.

I read a paper on this last year, also referencing two other gradients of gender I believe were mermaphrodites and dermaphrodites or something. It's never just black and white, Lodat.

This thought is worthless, just like everything you've ever come up with. I understand why you steal bits of other people now.

Have you been taking testosterone supplements? Because it seems like you only recently grew balls.

I approve.

This is a good thought. I think I had a vagina and a penis when I was born and the docters got rid of my vagina. I think that's why I'm fucked up in the head.

I think you misspelled "penis".

We had one in the place I grew up in. They made it a girl but it was a big mistake, she does not look female at all. She's a horrible drinker but not an outcast or anything despite the fact that everyone knows it.

I asked this question, because there's this girl in my grade that people are saying she was a hermaphrodite. It might be true, 'cause she's not that feminine.

Why don't you read Middlesex? By Jeffrey Eugenides. He's the author of Virgin Suicides.

& Eugenides should not be pronounced "you-gene-aydez" but "ev-gue-ni-thess" or thereabouts.

I come back here after a week and a half, and this is the first thread I see? :( :( :( Anyway, humans can't be hermaphrodite. A hermaphrodite has both female and male parts and both are fully functional. That means that a person with both parts would have to be able to reproduce using either... and, as far as I know, humans born with both can't reproduce with either of the two. I don't know what the term is for those people, though.

The old term was hermaphrodite so there's not much wrong with that. It's still in use here. Wiki says the new modern term for it is intersex.

I considered not doing it because the thread was so pathetic, but ehhh.

I don't think that this is technically possible, because doctors can't actually "remove" a vagina. This is why most heramphrodites usually choose to become women.

The same goes for people who want to change their sex after birth. A man can have an operation to become a women, but women cannot undergo an operation to become a man.
Simply put, you can dig a hole, you can't build a pole.
