You mind giving reasons, so that you open up a debate. You wouldn't look so stupid then.

Personally I'd chose Hillary over Bush any day.

I really don't know much of American Politics, but I imagine Hillary running the place somewhat like Bill did, and I know I preferred alot of what he did to how it is now.

Fact: People hate Hilary Clinton because she's a woman.

They generally seem to love her cause she's a woman as well. Her opinions appear to be wholly irrelevant.

Cuckolds don't have the dignity to be politicians. She should be lolled at for not controlling her wife.

Hillary Clinton is hated because America isn't ready for change, the last 40 some presidents have been white males. 2008 is going to suck for those people whom fear change, Hillary Clinton or Obama; at least those are 2 of the "hopefuls" who are going to run for the presidency. However, Obama hasn't said if he going to run yet. The thing that might strike fear in the American people is that who ever the next president is he or she will have to deal with Iraq - Maybe people do believe that a woman is suitable for that job. Iíll pass judgment on her when she announces her short term and long term plans for Iraq.

I don't go for older women, but I'd let her blow me.

I love how you point out the fact that we've had nothing but whites males as if you're making some huge overlooked point.

Anyway, the main reason Hilary is as hated as she is is because her last name is "Clinton". Republicans foam at the mouth when they hear that last name, and they've done a pretty good job at convincing everyone else that he was a bad president and that anyone related to him would do a horrible job.

Secondly, you treat it as if it's a race between Hilary and Obama, which it's not seeing as they're both Democrats, and only one can be the Democratic candidate. Those people who don't like "change" (the change is nothing but superficial, seeing as race and gender doesn't have a huge influence on policies) can just vote for the Republican.

Bill was a great president, but Hillary is a socialist control freak who needs to get her priorities in order. When she's not getting universal health care a new asshole torn by congress or freaking out about shitty cartoon porn that 17 year olds got to see after downloading random files from the internet as easily as porn itself, she stands around talking about how great she and her husband are.

I don't know too much about them yet, but from I have read so far, I'm liking Obama more than Clinton, and it's not because she's a woman.

I'll going to call a democratic win for Vilsack. Edwards already fucked up.

He was actually beating Clinton in the iowa polls until he spoke at the U of I and changed his stance on gay marriage. I think now Obama is winning the Iowa polls with Vilsack in 2nd and Clinton in 3rd.

That doesn't mean anything at this stage in the game. It's only because Obama was a highly anticipated fresh face in the candidate pool. I mean, Wesley Motherfucking Clark was winning in the '04 polls right after he declared.

Bah? Most people like Clinton. Hell, my republican co-worker who said "Ohio saved the world" on election day likes Clinton. The only people that really don't like Clinton are the neocons that give him shit for not being able to catch bin Laden during his presidency. I think the main reason people don't like Hillary is because it's easy to be under the impression that the only reason she's in the position she's in is because of who she's married to and not because of her own merits. Everyone that touches Bill's penis becomes famous and being married to him, she's probably touched it more than anyone else.

Every Republican I know hates Clinton with a strange obsessive passion, kind of the same way NOFX fans hate Bush. Maybe that's because I'm from Ohio.

I agree with the last part, that defintely has a lot to do with it.

Hillary, like Bush, cannot speak in public unless it's on a teleprompter. Obama can speak off the cuff, or at the very least, make it look like he is.

I saw an article in the Times a few years ago about how Hillary polled strangely well among the blue-collar workers that used to be the Democrats base but now vote largely Republican. Something about how she'd viewed as tough, self-made and somewhat admirable for standing by Bill and putting up with the Lewinsky coverage. One thing she's got going for her is that she's spent much of her time in the Senate aggressively defining herself as being tough on foreign policy, which, while it can still get picked apart, is difficult to fully dismantle.

Republicans loathe Hillary because they hate Bill. They hate Bill because he was in office for eight years and he slept around - he helped reverse the "Regan Revolution" Bush I had stalled. It's really just about that stupidly simple. Republicans began targeting the Clintons in the first race, when the first charges against Bill came out, but he just got away from them. It drove them insane how he just managed to get out of everything. When controlling Congress, they spent $100 million investigating every sort of alleged scam or mistress. And when they finally "got" him... they still couldn't put him away! He won! Newt got the boot and Clinton retired riding high in the polls. Hatred of Hillary is the result of eight years of anger under Bill. What's great is that the Republicans are terrified that she's a fucking cold-hard-bulldog-mastermind that's just going to annihilate the competition and RoveCheney the Republicans when she's in office. My favorite paranoid scenario I saw sketched out on FreeRepublic was that she's going to use Obama as a dupe and "let" him win the primary so she can be VP, creating policy behind the scenes for eight years before running herself, thus putting her in the White House for - *gasp* - 24 years!

As long as the American health care system improves with the election, all is well.
