Sorry, rhetorical question. If you expected to debate this or give advice or share your own insights into gender roles and societal demands placed on men, you came to the wrong place.

The correct answer is ; never.

Sometimes I have to rub onions in my face just to keep my eyes from totally drying up.

Because I'm a man.

Gülşah's men never cry. That's why I have none.

But seriously, it sounds extremely sexist but I hat crying men. Men are supposed to break things when they're angry. Even that is kind of girly. Better than sissykicking cops though.

It's not girly when the "thing" is his woman's jaw.

If someone points a guy to your head and says if you don't cry they'll shoot you. That's only ever when i cry anyway.

I wouln'd mind if someone pointed a guy at me, But when they pointed a guy at me i'dd be pretty scared.

Neither of those are acceptable excuses. I don't care if you wake up blind, deaf and dumb to find out you just got sacked from your job, your woman dumped you, your entire family is dead, all your money was stolen by a Jew accountant, your house burned down, there are videos of you having homosex with Per on the internet, your little puppy died of the flux, your limbs fell off from leprosy, you have cancer of the penis, and Fedor is straddling you and punching the crap out of your testicles for no good reason.

No crying.

It's acceptable to shed a tear on the day of your father's funeral. Some people will claim that it's acceptable to cry if your team wins the World Series/Superbowl/World Cup/etc. These are not real men, however; these are sports nerds.

Father and dog's funeral. But no one elses.

There is nothing manlier than a man who cries, Gülsah.

Heartbreak in the breast of a man is a poem untold.

Onions.

Also, I've heard some girls say they think it's a turn-on when a guy cries because it shows sensitivity. Crying gets you chicks!

Sin Studly

That's just something pretentious fuckwits say to try and appear deep and insightful.

Case in point ; Maria.

Men aren't supposed to be sensitive. They're supposed to be sexy, strong and you know, manly.

Which brings me to my next rhetorical question ; when is it acceptable for a man to sissykick?
Never. I seriously think it's worse than crying.

A sexy, stong & manly bloke would shed sexy, strong & manly tears, then. I looooooong to see a man cry, I've only ever read about them or seen them in movies. My brother had a breakdown a couple of years ago but I don't know if that counts. It wasn't tears of sorrow. Oh, & when my friends laugh to tears it's pretty enjoyable as well.

Not even if you wake up and find out you are a black homosexual republican (lol, redundancy) jew from Canada?

Men crying in response to physical or mental pain is the subject at hand here. I'm not sure, but I think the act of "crying" is different than when you tear up from laughing or from a strong scent.

Anyone remember those "Foster's Australian Beer" commercials? That's what this thread reminds me of, haha.

One time, I cried because I couldn't find the clitoris.

Jakebert

Why? As a man, you should know that it's all about what you want, not her.

Yeah. Besides, it's like searching for the fountain of youth. Everyone knows it's just a myth.

I cried a couple of years ago when my best friend died.

Before that I don't think I've cried since I was a little kid, besides from laughing too hard which happens every now and then.

I think the act of "crying" is different than when you tear up from laughing or from a strong scent.

It is. Everyone gets tears in their eyes from cutting onions, sneezing a bunch of times in a row, yawning when they're real tired, or taking a punch to the nose. That's just reflex, it doesn't count.

One time, I cried because I couldn't find the clitoris.

If the clitoris existed, and it doesn't, but if it did real men wouldn't bother looking for it.

Yeah, it turns out the only time I cry is when I'm on this BBS :(

I should tell myself to Stop Crying.
