I don't do it myself because I can't multi-task, but I certainly don't think it's weird or anything.

It takes about two minutes or so to give your teeth a good, thorough brushing. I don't see why brushing them in the shower would ever be necessary...

^Those are my thoughts as well. If I'm running low on time I might skim a minute off, and use mouthwash or something, but two or three minutes hardly makes a difference.

Shaving in the shower would be a much larger time decrease because it would cut down lather time/rinsing blade etc.

I said yes it is weird in the poll, but really it should be yes it is pointless.

That's just weird, never even thought of that before.
What is weird, is people who brush their teeth after getting up, and then eat breakfast after.

It's because it tastes so gross to eat food with the nasty flavor of morning breath in your mouth. Blech. Always gotta brush before eating.

WebDudette

Hah, I'm the exact opposite because I never used to brush my teeth in the morning so now when I do brush my teeth in the morning then eat everything taste weird.

That's what rinsing your mouth with water is for. ;) I actually only brush my teeth in the morning. I don't know why, but I never do at night. Probably isn't such a good thing.

Sunny
03-19-2007, 06:33 PM
um, it's the only way for me (in the morning, that is). i brush my teeth while i wait for my conditioner to work. and rinsing is way more fun in the shower. *shrug*

I honestly think that brushing your teeth isn't such a huge deal as doctors make it out to be. I went for a period when I was younger that where I didn't brush my teeth for almost two years and got no cavities. I do brush now, and I do get cavities now, because of the insane ridges in my molars. Because I swim so much, the chlorine eats away at the protective coating on my teeth, so my teeth have no chance of being perfectly white either. I hardly smile with them anyways though, so it's not something I think about much.

WebDudette
03-19-2007, 06:36 PM
I rarely, rarely brushed when I was younger and I have only been to the dentist a couple of times but I have never had anything wrong with my teeth. But then I see my best friends siblings who brush everyday and they both have a cavitiy or two.

I don't think it's weird at all.
Personally, I don't do it but I know some people who like to brush in the shower. And, as someone said before, it only takes a couple minutes, so you're not saving much time.

Paint_It_Black
03-19-2007, 09:26 PM
I don't see how it saves any time at all, except in Sunny's case I guess. I'm like Alec, I don't find it weird exactly, just pointless.

I hate it when people leave floss stuck to the shower wall. Fucking nasty.

I think it's weird. I dunno how that saves time. Besides that, I find it nasty. I have no idea why, I just do. Dont hate anyone for doing it, tho ;P

I wash my mouth and brush my teeth right after I've woken up. Otherwise I'll feel nasty/gross. I also brush my teeth after every meal, if possible (obviously not when I'm out). People should brush their teeth more often, for most people have bad breath and dont know it.

It's not weird. Not at all. But I can only wash my body and hair when I'm naked. I can't do anything else, I feel weird. :(

I already have enough to occupy myself with in the shower, but that doesn't mean that brushing in the shower is weird. I used to brush my teeth in the kitchen. I have my hygiene schedule locked down tight:

Rinse (Optional Fap, kekeke) -> Shampoo -> Rinse -> Condition -> Facial Cleanser -> Soapzz -> Rinse -> Shave -> Rinse -> Towel Dry -> Mirror Spot Check -> Blow Dry Hair -> Straighten Hair -> Brush Teethz

homoz.
No shit. It's due to my hygiene practices that I no longer enjoy showering with other people, they just get in the way.

Nina, I'd definitely shower with you. It would just have to take place after my real shower.

My hair is slightly slightly slightly wavy, and I like my bangs straight.

I showered with Nina first! :D Multiple times.

I've never thought of brushing my teeth while showering. I don't really see any time benefits from it, I don't really spend time in a shower not washing hair/washing body.

If I'm ever in such a hurry where I need to save time, I pop some mint gum in my mouth and skip the teeth brushing thing altogether.

Yesterday I woke up an hour later than planned. I didn't even shower. Put glothes on. Made lunch. And left, I had my first food after my supervisor meeting at my uni, it was hell.

In front of the sink ftw.

I don't like the cold water/warm water combination. Drinking cold water while taking a bath feels weird to me too. But I might try doing what Sunny does, I'm always bored while waiting for my conditioner to finish, so it'd give me something to do, you can only stare at your boobs for so long.

Same.

Shampoo, put conditioner on, and do everything else (teeth brushing, then shave) while the conditioner's in. So actually, it does save a lot of time.
