Someone told me about this earlier, thought it was quite amusing. Or it could of been down to the boredom at the time that made me grin.

Go to Google (http://www.google.com)
Click 'Maps'.
Click 'Get Directions'.
Type from 'New York, New York' to 'Paris, France'.

Look at the directions at line 23.

...Yeah, this probably isn't worth a topic.

Apparently this is pretty old. I saw it for the first time when Ricky posted it on myspace, but I guess they did it as a joke in January.

They do it for any destination across the atlantic. How else you gonna get across?

Actually, it depends on what cities you're coming from/going to. Unless they've updated it, a lot of combinations don't work.

edit: reminds me of when I was younger, and I thought this joke was hilarious. "But mom, I don't wanna go to China!" "Shut up and keep swimming!"

in spanish says [translated] cross the ocean SWIMMING, maybe that's th humorous point...

EDIT: i tried other routes [boston->my city] and more, and it seems that every route that crosses teh atlantic ocean uses a "line" between Massachusetts and Le Havre... maybe ther's a bridge and we don't even know about it...

It's supposed to tell you to swim across the Atlantic Ocean.
