This is a (long) list of songs that you'd probably lol at (and lol at people who like it), but such actions merely prove that you are a complete douchebag.

The following songs are better than most of you, and if given the choice between whether this song should be recorded or whether you should be born, I'd choose the former about 80%* of the time.

soulDecision - Faded
Nelly Furtado - Maneater
Phil Collins - You Can't Hurry Love
Prince - When Doves Cry
5ive - When The Lights Go Out
Madonna - Hung Up
Pat Benatar - Invincible
Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer
White Town - Your Woman
Beyonce - Baby Boy
U2 - New Year's Day
Taylor Dane - Tell It To My Heart
Madonna - Borderline
La Bouche - Be My Lover
Destiny's Child - Lose My Breath
Aaliyah - More Than A Woman
Ace of Base - All That She Wants
Michael Jackson - Beat It
Gwen Stefani - The Sweet Escape
Jimmy Somerville - You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)
Jay-Z - Izzo (H.O.V.A)
Fischerspooner - Emerge

coke_a_holic: No Doubt - Just A Girl
XYlophonetreez: Linkin Park - Breaking the Habit, U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday, Limp Bizkit - Rearranged, Obie Trice - Got Some Teeth
RickyCrack: Dead Or Alive - You Spin Me Right Round, Shakira - Hips Don't Lie, The Scorpions - Rock You Like A Hurricane
All About Eve Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Relax

wheelchairman - tATu - Not Gonna Get Us
BREAK: The Dazz Band - Let It Whip
A bunch of you: Journey - Any Way You Want It
mrconeman: Cutting Crew - I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight

This is usually where I'd say "discuss", but I have seething resentment towards anyone who might disagree**. So instead I'll say "eat dick". Lawl.

* I'm just being nice. The actual percentage is more like 99%.
** Additions to the list are welcome.

Britney Spears - Toxic

I fucking love that song.

JohnnyNemesis

How in the fuck did I miss that?! It has been added in your name. That song is awesome.

There's this acapelle group on my campus called "Aircapella", that does strictly whistled songs of big hits. They do an outstanding version of Toxic. It's amazing.

A-Ha- Take On Me

I knew from the moment that I made this thread that someone would mention it. I like it, but I must veto it: it doesn't quite fit in to the spirit of the thread here...which makes no sense, but I'm a ruthless thread dictator, har har lawl!

Linkin Park- Breaking the Habit

This one barely makes the cut. But it does.

U2- Sunday, Bloody Sunday

Fair enough.

Dead or Alive - You spin me right round.

Erasure - A little respect

Frank Zappa - Dancing fool

Chamillionaire - Ridin' dirty

Shakira - hips don't lie

JohnnyNemesis

Dead or Alive - You spin me right round.

Okay, every one, EVERY single one of you hereby earns the right to punch me in the face because I forgot this one. Even the most pathetic of you out there (read: even Venom!) can now punch me in the face and kick me in the balls for forgetting to include this.

To be fair, my reasons are noble: I love the song so much that I forgot how embarrassing it was.

The scorpions - rock you like a hurricane
Shakira - hips don't lie

I'll add these two as well (and give you a BJ), but I'll pass on adding Ridin' Dirty. Chamillionaire's song is awesome and the only people who don't like it are the kind of stupid white people I'm used to ignoring.

I was going to, but couldn't choose which song. I'd probably choose Breakaway or Behind These Hazel Eyes instead, because of "Since U Been Gone".

And yes, that's the real title.

JohnnyNemesis
06-07-2007, 03:34 PM

soulDecision - Faded
Michael Jackson - Beat It
Bon Jovi - You Give Love A Bad Name
Linkin Park - Papercut
Billy Joel - The Longest Time
These are the songs to which I give an AMEN.

The white guy in soulDecision is the worst singer I've ever heard in my life, and that song STILL pwns balls.

I could think of a number of other Billy Joel and MJ songs that are almost as awesome.

JohnnyNemesis

AND DR. TREEZ! OH GOD, YOU ACTUALLY REMEMBER THAT soulDecision SONG!!! I can't find anyone else who remembers it! And you actually recognize its unparalleled awesomeness too! YESSSSSSSS.

I'm also glad you agree on Papercut. The remix is also top notch.

With BJ and MJ (lol), it's hard to choose just one...in fact, I probably didn't make the best choice, as both of those songs are universally loved...but since I didn't know which ones to pick, I just went with my favorites.

Journey- Anyway You Want It

Bon Jovi - It's My Life
Kansas - Carry On My Wayward Son

Gwen Stefani - The Sweet Escape
Fischerspooner - Emerge
Quiet Riot - Cum on Feel the Noize

Personally, I also like:

"Banquet" by Bloc Party
"The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows" by Brand New
"Got The Life" by Korn
"Special Delivery" by The Offspring
"The Seperation of Church and Skate" by NoFX

The Maneater song by Hall and Oates is so so so so so much better. So boo to that song.

Also, lots of the songs being mentionned are awesome 80's songs. Not lol worthy in my opinion.

Some embarassing songs that I like... that I haven't noticed but may have been mentionned...

Paula Abdul - Straight Up (And lots more cause her stuff was awesome)
Crazy Town - Butterfly
Backstreet Boys - If You Want it to be Good Girl Get Yourself a Bad Boy (even better due to extreme corniness)
Ashlee Simpson - Boyfriend
Shania Twain - Man! I Feel Like a Woman (and other Shania classics...)
Donna Lewis - I Love You Always Forever
All Saints - Never Ever
Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply
Sky - Some Kinda Wonderful
Whitney Houston - How Will I Know (Is up there with Heaven is a Place on Earth in my books)

Okay, some of these songs are genuinely pretty lame, but I love 'em anyway.

Obie Trice- Got Some Teeth
Sean Paul- Like Glue

Sean Paul is legit. I refuse to believe otherwise! So is Obie Trice, but "Got Some Teeth" has exceptionally horrible lyrics despite it's general awesomeness. I'll take it.

Limp Bizkit- Rearranged

Fuck yes.

Dear Ricky, fuck you for rejecting "Don't Stop Believin'."

UGGGH, go to teh hell!

But at least go with "Any Way You Want It."

I'm really tempted to, honestly. But I'm hesitant to include any Journey song on here. But fiiiiiiiine, I'll do it.

Savage Garden - I Want You

Nena - 99 Luftballons
Anyone who LOLs at these songs is not my friend. :(

Michelle Branch- Everywhere
I also do not believe that Michelle Branch is lol worthy... I think she is quite talented and writes good songs. So of course, my opinion is right and you suck!

My response to both is:

I'm hot blooded!

Gotta fever of 103! (srsly... Hot Blooded needs to be on the list!)

And I will never lol at ANY Journey song. All songs are extremely awesome.

Okay, my additions:

All My Life - KC and JoJo
Barbie Girl - Aqua
Take Me There - Blackstreet
Blue - Eiffel 65
Thong Song - Sisqo
It Wasn't Me - Shaggy
Wind Beneath my Wings - Bette Midler

Wtf? This song is legitimately good and not LOL worthy at all.

Thong Song - Sisqo
It Wasn't Me - Shaggy

Oh, and the reason I've overlooked so many others is because it'd be exhausting to explain to everyone why I'm rejecting their contributions, especially because as I said earlier, it's all subject to my ridiculous and arbitrary opinions. So I'm only explaining some here and there.

In a thread where it's been considered lolworthy to like both No Doubt and Aerosmith, I must confess to something: I not only like songs by these two bands, but I like tragic attempts by each of them to be "hip" when they became self-conscious about the fact that they were each past their prime. That's right: I like "Hella Good" and "Just Push Play" lolololololimafag.

There is no way a song by two French techno fags about fucking blue aliens that sing "I'm blue da-ba-dee-pa-dah-daw" could be anything but fucking annoying and fucking ridiculous.

Maybe it's that you guys didn't live in Europe at the time but all those horrible eurotrash hit songs that come and go, I'd say 99% of them were trash and nothing but.
