Remember the band Garbage? Garbage was built on the sonic landscapes of My Bloody Valentine, Curve, and Sonic Youth, adding a distinct sense of accessible pop songcraft. Well they have a new greatest hits album coming out July 17th called “Absolute Garbage”. I used to listen to them a while back and totally forgot about them. At umg another intern gave me their greatest hits and i fell in love with their classic songs all over again. Seriously check them out at myspace.com/garbage

For some reason, I think that spammers from record labels might see a bit better responses on message boards if they didn't always mention their internship at ____ label.

My personal favorite is "As Heaven is Wide"... but it's not really one of their more popular songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rm9tzGxr2Ss

Ah, now I'm listening to the Beautiful Garbage album. It's so 90s. I find that I've grown more of a liking for music with electronics in it since coming to Europe. They're a pretty good band for having on and just relaxing to. I used to really like the 2.0 album.

2.0 is one of my favorite albums ever. Beautiful Garbage is decent, and "Cherry Lips" is unbelievably awesome. Their self-titled was pretty good, but not amazing, and "Bleed Like Me" had a few good ones but nothing spectacular.

However, I don't think they have enough stuff out to warrant a Greatest Hits album.

As of now I'm listening Garbage's new album, and it sounds really fine except the first track. Their first two albums has enough juice to fill out any kind of collective album.

Yep, Garbage are a respectable rock group with the best female voice,in my opinion. I love their sound and my favorite album is "Version 2.0".I have not listened to their new album yet, though.

Key tracks so far:
- Blood For Poppies
- Not Your Kind Of People <3
- I Hate Love
- Sugar <3

Some of them make you come like The Cranberries, some of them are in yo mouf and some are discreetly amazing like Big Bright World.

Oh and bonus tracks, another band having shitloads of amazing b-sides except The Offspring.

They are my kind of people now.

I listened to the new album(Deluxe edition) yesterday and yes... it is good! Shirley's voice is a little different(not negatively) from the previous albums, maybe because she is getting older. Did anybody else notice this or it is just my idea? I like the new album very much. I like 10/15 of the songs. It is something between "Version 2.0" and "Bleed like me".

Garbage, my favorite pop band. Though that's probably a really shitty label to put on them.

Those first two albums are ridiculously cool, I wasn't even aware they'd released a new one. Better check it out!
