Finally, I will have my nights off after working second shift for the last year. I'm switching to first shift on Monday. I will go from getting up at 12 or 1 every day to getting up at 6 in the morning. So i just need ideas of what time you guys normally go to bed when you have to work in the morning.

Depends on how little sleep you personally are able to function on. I don't tend to sleep much at all, but i'm still able to function. You're meant to get 6-8 hours sleep or something along those lines, so give yourself that amount of time before your shift to sleep, i'd say.

Depends on how much sleep you get, how well you sleep, whether you're in shape, a ton of things.

Just set an alarm and get used to obeying it.

I live by alarms. If I don't use one, I can sleep for over 17 hours. And even then, when I did that before I only woke up because my dad phoned me

I have to be at work at 07:00 but i'm alway's in at 06:00 so I wake up at 05:00. I ussually go to bed around 22:30.

Over 17 hours? What the fuck? That's almost a whole day.

I should get a job. I go to sleep at 5 am everyday and wake up around 3 pm...

I feel like shit at 8 hours of sleep but amazing at 9 hours. I can't go over ten no matter how late I go to sleep unless I've been awake for like, two days or something.

It depends, for me. Anywhere between 7-9 hours is acceptable, although I don't want to be talked to for at least a half hour. I love sleeping more than 9, even though then I basically feel lazy the entire day. And when I get about 6 hours of sleep, I can still function but I'm in a horrible mood for hours.

Any less than 6 and I will ignore the world and go back to sleep.

I get up at 6.30 each morning for work. On average I go to sleep some time between 12 and 1:30 am though I can work quite adequately on 4 hours sleep as long as there's coffee involved. Although it can catch up on me, and sometimes I pass out around 9 on a Thursday.

I generally find that the more sleep I get, the worse I feel in the morning. Not to mention all the best television is on after 10.

I agree completely.

I go to sleep around 12-1am and usually wake up at about 8, 9 or 10 at the weekend, i guess its different for everyone.

Is it me or has this turned from what time to you go to sleep when working mornings to what time to you go to bed and wake up
